Neville High (La.) senior Zalance Heard carries a five-star rating as the No. 3 offensive tackle in the country. St. Augustine (La.) senior Tyree Adams is ranked as a four-star and the No. 10 offensive tackle prospect in the class.

Heard committed to LSU on September 1, while Adams got on board with the Tigers on July 29.

The pair are part of an LSU football commitment list that is ranked by the On3 Consensus Team Rankings as the No. 6 class in the 2023 cycle. Heard and Adams are two of nine Louisiana commitments in for the staff, with the Tigers sitting on 22 total verbal commits.

Love what Kelly is building on the o-line. Adams has great upside and Heard looks like he could contribute right away.

With a commitment from DJ Chester, this will end up being the best offensive line class in quite some time.

Brian kelly is going to have the o line stacked.

That is one position i knew he would take care og when hured.

All the other positions really recruit themselves minus qb.

Kelly not having to look too far for some big uglies…not the norm but very convenient when rebuilding this program

With both Heard and Adams being Louisiana guys, I have to think Kelly ran into some good fortune with Louisiana just having a good year in the trenches. BUT, the thing I'm most excited about is that between Davis, Kelly, and Denbrock these guys WILL be coached up.

On paper, maybe, but last year’s class is proving on the field.

Yep. Don't forget Jeff Quinn is involved too.

And there's West to add to this class also.
If I had to guess, West and Adams will be "normal" development guys that might see some time as RS sophs then can be relied on as RS Jrs.
Watching the few snaps at DL that West got Sat, his lower body mobility is a little better than I remember. Maybe he comes along a little quicker.
I can see Lance possibly contributing year 1 and hopefully Reader getting PT as a RS FR or true Soph unless he's really as advertised and jumps up the depth chart then shows out vs OOC early next season.
These HS guys aren't even halfway through their seasons yet, so expecting continued improvement isn't too much to ask.

Build that premium OL outside to inside. Lot easier for a HS OT to slide inside, gain some size/strength, and move back outside as the depth chart and their development dictates. You Geaux CBK!

Hey! I keep forgetting to ask you if there is any kind of a list of who we might know will be early enrollees?

Yep - two stellar OL starters in 2022 class from LA and two more excellent OL recruits in the 2023 class from LA. That is very fortuitous.

Saw a lost for top 10 edge rushers from 247 and LSU has two of those too. Gonna be iron sharpening iron from here on out.

Between the last 2 classes, you will be hard pressed to find a better back to back OL class. Fitzgerald West is at DT right now due to depth issues, but it is expected he will move back to C next season. He’s Uber athletic and being able to play both sides shows that.

In 3 years, you could possibly see 2 tackles (if Jones stays at tackle…which he’s doing great and that’s where the money is) from the same class on the same team drafted in the 1st round. Not sure, but that could be the first time ever. Then add in Heard and Adams and hopefully Chester. Holy shite. Unreal
