I know that this has been discussed multiple times up until when he committed to Arizona, but is he still 100% Arizona?

I understand that following his father's footsteps may not be in his best interest and the whole CJJ mess didn't help us by any means in regards to recruiting him, but could this CWW movement cause Shareef to give reconsideration? I have no clue if WW is even wasting his time trying to recruit him, but so far, it seems that he has a few tricks up his sleeves.

It would probably depend on the relationship he has with his father. And it's not like they don't know who Shaq is in Arizona.

What was Shaq's brother that lsu felt obligated to offer a spot back in the mid to late 90's.....? Harrison kid. He and shaq had same dad. Think his name is Jamal Harrison. He lasted a few weeks on campus. He was terrible.

Honestly, I think it's better for the kid to NOT come to LSU. He's already going to be compared to his father regardless of where he plays. It would only be that much worse at LSU where not only is his father's number hanging in the arena, but there is a huge statue of him outside the practice facility.

Shaq was/is a legend at LSU. No matter how well his son played here, he would never be able to live up to what Shaq did in his time at LSU. He probably needs to forge his own path somewhere else.

And how did that turn out? Not well! Another O'Neal would be the worst thing for this program right now. I, for one, have had enough one and done prima donna's to last a century!

I don't think Shareef is in the one and done category. But would him coming to LSU really be the worst thing this program needs right now? I can think of a few things that would be worse than having a top 50 recruit come to LSU haha

LSU has had what - maybe 2 one and done players in the history of the program. UK has more than that every single season and they are a highly successful program.

Talented players bring wins. Don't be an idiot.

I'm sure that Will Wade is making an attempt.

It's actually very rare for the children of NBA stars to attend the same school as their fathers. I can think of 20+ just off the top of my head that went elsewhere.

You dont have to like it, but the game has evolved. I'd personally rather have exceptional players stay one year, than never step foot on campus.

Whether he comes here or not, I really hope that he will take an official visit to LSU - that would be a huge show of mutual respect between him, Shaq and LSU.
