Even though it seems likely he won't be a Tiger, it's nice to see a kid keep his word and honor his commitment. Recruiting is down right ugly these days, and its not just the coaches, its the players too. But for Senitmore to honor his commitment to the Gumps, kudos to you kid, and Good Luck! It'd be nice to see you in purple and gold but its just as nice to see that theres still some integrity and honor in today's youth.

I agree, he handled the situation with much more class than Luther did. Best of luck to him

well then you can tell me what happened, cause i still dont know. if youre so sure he was honorable and kept his word, id like to know what this whole "telling lsu commits he would be committing to lsu" business was all about.

did he switch, then get talked into staying with bama? will he switch to lsu on signing day? the whole thing seems weird.

No, no it isn't. I want the best for LSU no matter what. People can change their minds, it's still a free country after all.

They have no clue, either.

They have an affinity for their opinion and like reading their posts.

The kid's offer was conditional, and not to his family and coach's liking.

He would be a Tiger under different circumstances. I really hope the best for him, like any other student athlete that puts forth that kind of time and effort. But, he is not enrolled yet.

I thought he was an LSU fan and wanted to come here. Alabama got him before he had some grade improvements and then we offered, so I'm shocked he didn't decide to stay home. God bless him though.

Don't use commitment and Bamma in the same sentence as long as $aban is there.

I would say that you people need reading comprehension courses, but that would be a waste of everyone's time.

Good luck walking and breathing at the same time.

wahoocs. You implied that Sentimore's scholarship had conditions. What conditions, exactly? If they made him an offer this weekend, there were 5 days til signing day. What possible conditions could there have been?

If by conditions you mean that he would have qualify academically, well that's baked into every scholarship--even the one he has from Magic Man Saban (he who turns 7 scholarships into 25). If you don't qualify academically, you don't get a scholarship.

Please elaborate--I'm not flaming just curious to understand what you meant.

...apparently his offer was gray shirt only...that kind of conditional and he said no.

This post is about "who's right"... not "what's right". Fail.

P.S. I know you're one of the "gump haters" in here, so I don't give a shite what you type back.

Here is the Buddy Songy-annoying type analogy:

The kids has always loved LSU.
LSU did not return the love.
Bama invited him to the dance.
He said yes.
LSU thought he looked nice in his prom dress and made a pass.
He started flirting with LSU.
Eventually he realized he needed to go home with the one that brought him.

Good luck to the kid.
I wish we had signed him.

Rolando Melacon was just as good if not better than Sentimore in High school and they have about equal off the field issues. RM never got an offer or even close to an offer, I dont see the big fuss now
