Freak will be one of the top players in the country IMO. Jarvis should be given a 5th star, but rivals is fricking retarded. We all know what Hilliard is capable of and if he drops a significant amount, then so be it. I still think LSU has one of the best classes in the nation with possibly 1 or 2 more big signings coming. It's good to be a Tiger fan.

Desean Jackson and Steve Smith think otherwise.

they have elite speed though

rivals is a lot about your physical talent

if JL had the speed of DJ or SS, he'd be a top 10 player this year

Hilliard will drop b/c he came in 15-20 pounds overweight and probably ran a 4.8.

Some of our guys are underrated, but Hilliard is a little overrated...right now.

Wouldn't blame Rivals if they drop Hilliard a bit.

Guys like Trevon Randle, Jalen Collins, Jarvis Landry deserve a bump though IMO.

Rivals can't take away what KH had accomplished from his season(s). I say keep his rank. Rivals people are dumbasses.

I didn't watch the army game but I assume that Kenny's team were in spread formation.. Kenny and Spread don't go together.. Kenny and I-Formation FTW.

True. Hilliard is just a guy that runs through and/or over you. He is not a Corvette or a Ferrari...more like a bus from hell.

just like his uncle.

FWIW, saw a thread on the Rivals mainboard yesterday and nearly every fanbase thought Landry would get his 5th.

With Hilliard and the things they said about him after seeing him in person it kind of makes you wonder on what basis did they have him ranked where he is currently.Did they use his film, which would show you what kind of runner he is,or did they go by word of mouth and reputation?I tend to think a little of both but the primary reason being word of mouth and reputation. Most of their early rankings in particular are for that reason alone.Part of their problem is their lack of scouting consistently.I also saw earlier in the week JC Shurburrt said he believed that too much emphasis was put on 3 days of practice at an all star game. His feeling is that 3 years of film should tell more than 3 days of practice.I agree. The all star games should be used as a tol to see how the kids perform on the big stage against better players but it shouldn't weigh as heavily as they do.Honestly this year is one that I'm glad the all star games are weighed so heavily since it allowed landry and Freak to show the nation what they can do.

I agree, but they definitely weight the practices more... and I honestly think that's because it's the first time the whole staff gets to see most of these guys in person and they get to see them compete against other elite talents.

I heard they will make him a high 4* because he doesnt have the height to be an elite WR

He's already a high 4 star.

Hilliard drops a bit.

Landry 5*
Freak 5*
Jernigan 5*
Rasco top-75
David Jenkins top 100?

What gets me is that they list Landrys ball skills as division 1 caliber.. and the following quote beside it. Do they include 'hands' in ball skills.. or is ball skills just what they can do when they have the ball?

quote:

He has the type of hands that reach out and snatch the ball out of the air at the last second, leaving unsuspecting defensive backs waving at thin air.

If Jenkins doesn't get a huge bump up after all the accolades that Rivals gave him, I would be shocked
