To play therapist for a second, it’s quite normal for people (fans in this case) to distance themselves from a situation that may have a negative impact. To me that’s ultimately how things are for LSU fans. Are we excited? Hell Yes. Will you know it? Doubtful. We have become reserved and cautious over the last 5-6 years. In my opinion, the “wait and see” approach has allowed the fan base to soften the blow of something negative happening to the football program. This applies to both recruiting and actual games. It feels like we would much rather be pleasantly surprised than set ourselves up for disappointment. Ish’s recruitment is the perfect example of this. The cool part is the coaches take all of the emotion out of it. It’s their job. They see talent, they pursue talent, they hopefully sign talent and then they coach that signed talent. It’s that simple to them.

No they don’t. Nobody is claiming “sources” on this. We’ve just been down this road too many times. We know how it’s played out in the past. Is it “possible” he comes to LSU? Sure, it’s “possible”. I just would t get my hopes up.

Every LSU fan want him, but we have seen this show before. IT doesn't take "sources". He is following the same pattern of Louisiana kids who say one thing and do another. Actions speak louder than words.
We haven't discussed the bag man barber either.
The coaching staff has no choice but to "go all in". They are in a lose-lose situation. Waste time on this guy only for him to sign with Bama OR ingore him only to be criticized for not recruiting him hard.

I don't know much, but I know this:
1. No LSU fan will publicly say they expect him to come.
2. Every LSU fan wants him to come and will be pissed if he doesn't.
Really hope this kid realizes what a big FU it will be to pick Bama.

IF we don’t have all commitments to fill all scholarships, what do you have to lose by not offering his brother? It would be pathetic to have an extra spot or two or three and not have Ish because of that!
This program needs to DEVELOP KIDS!!!! We need to take 3 stars and make them 10 stars

This is spot on. It is the same mentality and probably faction that claim to bleed purple and gold unless they don't like the HC in which case they are super fans with doomsday predictions about our program that can only be fixed by either going back in time and keeping Miles or immediately replacing O "for the good of the program". Man, how about just hope for the best and pull for the tigers to win in recruiting and on the field and if we lose a few in either area then so be it, cheer harder. Bc like it or not, the reality is all anyone on this board is is a "cheerleader" completely irrelevant to the outcome of anything concerning LSU football no matter how much they wish that weren't the case, it is.

I see it differently . I see it as people being familiar with the facts, familiar with the history of the last decade and kids going to Alabama, and familiar with this kid’s specific associations and conduct. And rationally deciding they aren’t going to be Charlie Brown when Lucy is holding the FG attempt. It’s just a desire not to be had again.
