Alright guys. I’m waiting for my flight back home and figured I’d get this written up. We’ll get started tomorrow, and I just wanted to post the rules again for those who are new and for those who still can’t seem to get this shite right.

We have 28 total rounds of drafting players via the snake draft. Each team MUST select a full (as in a playable) 11 on offense and 11 on defense in the first 22 rounds. That means, an entire Oline, ONE QB, and a mixture of RBs, WRs and TEs for the remaining 5 spots. As long as it’s an operational offense, I’m good. Defensively, draft whichever style you want (ie, 4-3, 3-4, Dime, 43, etc) but as the draft progresses, please let me know which you are drafting for. The last “6” rounds will be bonus selection rounds. Each team will draft TWO players per round, for THREE straight rounds.

Draft eligible players include: High School players eligible for college, Prep schoolers, and JUCO players in the 2018 class. However, none of these players will be eligible if they were previously drafted in the prior drafts. A link of each draft will be posted in the OP of the RMD thread, so to find out if someone was drafted is just a click away. Obviously, that is too hard at times or y’all or just too damn lazy, so asking me is sometimes the quickest way of finding out. If I have time, I’ll help. If I don’t, my bad.

As usual, I’m not doing this draft to select/post everyone’s team. I understand all of us get busy, and I have no problem helping you out if you’re in a bind. But again, I really don’t feel like posting every pick for teams other than my own (thanks for signing up again Memphis). For the newbies, not only do we post the picks in the thread, I also post EVERY selection in four other places: the first page, the Draft Board, the Positional List sheet, and the Roster Breakdown.

And that leads me to this note. PLEASE take the extra 5-10 seconds to post the name of the school the player is going to and what position they will be playing for you. It takes extra time for me to dig up players that I don’t know to get that info. So again please help me out.

And of course that last sentence leads me to this note. We all know a good portion of these players will not be playing the position they are listed on the recruiting sites. Switching positions is allowed, but only if it’s reasonable (an Oline player playing other positions on the Oline or switching to Dline) or if you can provide a link showing that the school has mentioned him playing the position you are drafting him at. I’m still pretty fricking pissed about Dillon last year Verlander, so do your best to not do that shite again.

As always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. And remember, this is all in good fun, so please keep it civil. Ripping each other is appreciated, especially when someone snipes the player you were taking a couple picks later. Other than that, see you guys on the morrow.

ETA: Please let me know if this link works.

Nice to see all of you again for another installment of this thing.

Let’s get one more player to get the ball rolling.

Every guy I have ever vouched for to get a spot in this thing dropped out before their first draft ended so I’m gonna let y’all handle the empty spot

I finished my draft prep like 3 or 4 weeks ago. 247 really screwed me giving all the players I like an extra star in their final rankings. But I have cracked the code and will still dominate.

Also just to recap in 2017 I shattered whatever the touchdown record was

David Sills(WVU, WR) 18 tds
Jonathan Taylor(Wisconsin RB) 13 tds
AJ Dillon(Boston College, RB) 14 tds
Khalil Tate(Arizona, QB) 12 tds
Karen Higdon(Michigan, RB) 11 tds
Braxton Berrios(Miami, WR) 9 tds
Marcella Ateman(Oklahoma St, WR) 8 tds
McKenzie Milton(UCF, QB) 8 tds
Jalen Reagor(TCU, WR) 8 tds
Sewo Olonilua(TCU, RB) 7 tds
Dontae Strickland(Syracuse, RB) 6 tds

And this doesn't include several players who score 5 tds or less. Oh and the scary part is all of them except Ateman and Berrios are still in college

Just curious, should it really be called a ‘mock’ draft if you guys are really drafting??

Good question. And to be honest, I have no idea why it was labeled that to begin with. Maybe it was a “mock” draft because there isn’t any actual scoring or winning. Therefore, without a score or a winner, is it really a “team”. Also, could have been because it’s a “mock” on how guys would fill their own college team.

Of course, I’m just making all of this shite up right now so feel free to believe it or not.

It's called a mock draft, because I will mock your picks.

Got our last participant. We are ready to go with all 25 spots filled.

I’ll make a thread this afternoon posting the “rules” for the new guys and the drafting order.
