GFM if these topics have already been discussed...

1. Will universities get an abnormal amount of top talent in this year’s signing class due to MLB not taking risks on these seniors?

2. Will this be a really solid test case for over-worked pitchers in a few years if/when the number of injuries have a positive blip on the screen?

1. All college rosters will be a bit fuller the next few years. D1 and JUCO will be pretty loaded, and that will trickle down to other levels as well. The expectation is that MLB orgs are going to flee to safety and pick more college players than normal due to track record.

I did see news today that the draft may go as few as 5 rounds, there was some hope that it would be at least 10 rounds as recently as last week.

2. The missed year and weird timing for seasons starting and whether or not summer ball is played will lead to arm injuries. Any benefits potentially gained by the time off might be negated by a rush to come back to throw this summer. Who knows though, I'm just repeating what I've read.

Interesting about the draft... so, hypothetically, schools all around may get sandwiched with extra incoming talent and returning talent.

Attrition happens every year, but ours particularly that happened a week or so ago got me thinking about all this.

It’ll be very interesting to see how these sec coaches manage the rosters.

IMO, the MLB draft should be 10 rounds every year and then let teams try to sign other players as free agents. Guys, if given a chance, can then be selective on which teams they would like to play for
