QBs in the Transfer Portal (w/ 247 Sports Rankings and CBs)

Obviously not the first thread on transfer QBs, but I don't see one on the first page. I also wanted to point out the 247 Transfer Portal Rankings. Here's their list of QBs in the transfer portal.
1. Quinn Ewers (Ohio State) 5* - no change
2. Spencer Rattler (Oklahoma) 4* - down from 5* HS recruit rating
3. Dillon Gabriel (UCF) 4* - up from 3* HS recruit rating
4. Cameron Ward (Incarnate Word) 4* - no HS recruit rating
5. Max Johnson (LSU) 3* - down from 4* HS recruit rating
6. Myles Brennan (LSU) 3* - down from 4* HS recruit rating
7. Jacob Zeno (Baylor) 3* - down from 4* HS recruit rating
8. Zack Gibson (Akron) 3* - no change
9. Harrison Bailey (Tennessee) 3* - down from 4* HS recruit rating
10. Jack Miller (Ohio State) 3* - down from 4* HS recruit rating
11. Adrian Martinez (Nebraska) 3* - down from 4* HS recruit rating
12. Jack Plummer (Purdue)
13. Chubba Purdy (Florida State) 3* - down from 4* HS recruit rating
14. Michael Pennix (Indianna) *3 - no change
Crystal Balls:
Rattler to UCLA (100%)
Gabriel to Ole Miss (100%)
Gibson to Georgia Tech 100%
Commits (removed from list above):
Haener - Fresno St.
I am not super familiar with the portal rankings, but it is interesting that a lot of these guys have lower ratings than when they were in high school.
If this is the list, who are the viable candidates to transfer to LSU? Agree or disagree with rankings? Any QBs not yet in the portal that could be available?

Quinn or Myles Brennan, those are the two I would be focusing on.

Wish we could convince Myles to stay and finish his career here then hand reins to Walker in 2023.

Be a lot more helpful if you added their current school.

Looks like there isn't much for LSU to pull from. So I have no clue where the rumor that Max was afraid of competition from a transfer came from.

I mean... guys rarely transfer if they've lived up to their potential.
Think about the universe of players who transfer--the majority transfer because things haven't worked out as expected.

Haener is coming back to Fresno

People on this board made it up.

Brennan. If Quinn comes, what does that say to Howard? Kid is talented but he skipped out on his sr season and is already transferring. He will likely end up in the portal again.
Keep Nuss, bring in Howard, and try to retain Brennan.

Good point. Added to OP

Agree 100% that would be the perfect situation.
I also wish Max would stay, there is zero reason for him to leave at this point.
While he wasn't the best QB in the SEC last year, he did pretty well all things considered, and there is a lot to be said for having all of that experience in the SEC already under his belt.

wrap him in bubble wrap until the season starts.

Leave that up to CBK.

I understand that those rankings aren’t set in stone and more players may become available, but it seems somewhat crazy to be letting the #5 and #6 guys walk unless you have an iron clad commit from
1-4.
There are obviously system and personality issues that make guys better fits.
Personally, I’m hoping that Johnson’s announced decision to transfer means that Brennan is staying (despite rumors of early this week) at least thru the spring.

I mean, Myles probably has as good a chance to start at LSU next year as anyone, and if he did and was successful, would be a hero here, he should stay

There will be another round of "free agents" after spring ball and players are upset they aren't the starter.

LSU may well end up with a transfer QB not yet even in the portal.

One can only dream. Haener has "it". I put the link to the last few minutes to the UCLA/Fresno State game. If you didnt watch that game, it was one you dont forget. Reminded me alot of the Texas Tech/Texas game back in 2008 when Harrell was QB for TT.

I mean to be fair, we aren't letting them walk, they are just leaving on their own

If anything, they got nudged out. Kinda funny how critical TD is about Myles and how bad they wanted Max in there but Max did worse than Myles did. Myles just happened to be on the wrong LSU team at the wrong time. Myles took almost all the heat for losing the Mizzou game when at the end of the day, he threw for 430 yards for 4 TD's and no interceptions. Not to mention, our defense played like garbage.
Mizzou's QB threw 4 touchdowns and no interceptions that game. Guess how many he threw as their starting QB all season: 7 TD's. He threw more TD's in that game against us than he did in every other game that season combined. That should tell you all you need to know in that Brennan did his job on offense.
And to win the game, our OC calls three run plays back to back on the goal line to win the game. We barely had 40 yards rushing all game. Why run the ball?
