Myles Brennan, TJ Finley, Max Johnson

We keep mentioning those 3 QBs but what about Peter Parrish?

How is he doing sitting and learning this year behind burrow and Brennan? Could he maybe make some noise next year for the starting job.

Some who say they have seen him practice say he looks great. Some who say they have seen him practice say he sucks and will be in the transfer portal. Only the coaches know.

I'd be shocked to see anyone besides Brennan take a meaningful snap next year outside of due to an injury.

He stayed with this program because he knows he is in a spot where just out of pure experience he will inherit the starting position.

Outside of watching one of the younger players come out and just set the world on fire during the off-season...which is possible but not likely..Then Myles is gonna start to at least one season.

I'd much rather see Brennan out there after putting in the work and effort he has for the past few years, learning as much as he has playing behind burrow and getting coached up by Brady and company than seeing a freshman get the starting spot next year.

I have a feeling that Brennan will come out and have one of the better seasons by a QB in program history. Not just because of the scheme he will be apart of, but because he is just a very talented player. Which he is. Pretty much everyone is already aware that when it comes to pure ability throwing the ball, it's Brennan that has the better, stronger throwing arm. Burrow had a three year head start on him and the in game experience is something that just cannot be replicated in practice.

I expect Brennan to go out and lead next year's team to 10+ wins and competes for both conference and national championships when it's all said and done. Kid has put in too much time and effort to allow an 18 year old to come in and take the job from him. Like I said....barring some injury or one of those kids becoming a truly elite player in the off-season, then it's Brennan's job to lose.

There is zero chance that Brennan starts the year on the bench next season. He will be given every chance to be the starter and it would take him just totally busting out for anyone else to be the starter next year.

Jimmy Details said a while back that everything about Parrish is better than expected. He also said he is very elusive with the ball in his hands.

So the initial impression is he is pretty good.

Now those claiming he wasn't any good and was going to end up transferring were those guys lobbying for LSU to go after D'Ereq King. However, they were saying that as part of their lame-arse argument to recruit King to LSU.

If you were a poker player, would you give away your ace in the hole??
I've heard from players and coaches that this guy has a VERY bright future here

There’s quite a few people on the 247 board that says Parrish has no shot at playing at LSU. He has a weak arm. They saw that in warm ups.

That’s all I got.

That's funny cause Jimmy Details said that the throwing arm of Parrish was better than anticipated. Of course, most people claim also that Heisman winner Joe Burrow has a much weaker arm than Myles Brennan as well. Which is utterly ridiculous. So I'm not surprised, to say the least.

From a pure arm strength standpoint, Brennan does indeed have a better arm than Burrow. Parrish also has a decent arm... his problem is wondering where the hell it goes once it leaves his hand.

They’ve been working with him all year, preparing for next year. On the unusual occasions when we are in 3rd and 3 or less he gets all the reps. The best part is, he’s been practicing it all year and we’ll still be balanced with the run/pass ratio. He’s going to kill it!

I know you think it's bullshite but for some reason his arm slot and motion does remind me of Anthony Jennings. And yep, I've only ever seen him during warm ups, but I can't shake the comparison in my head.

I’ll take a 10+ win season with Brennan and have next 3 years with Caleb Williams

This has to be our year to win it all tho. We are 5 wins away from being the champs. Gotta finish strong.
Same with saints. This is the year Brees has to win it. Time is running out.

We know Brennan has the arm and good size. What we don't know yet is does he have Burrow's football IQ, ice water in his veins and toughness.

Never was an accurate passer of the ball. That has not changed and likely won’t.

I’m not saying that Parrish is going to be some All-American or even start at LSU, but to already write him off after 3 months on campus because of how he looked in warm ups one day is absolutely asinine
