What is the most important traits you look for in a high school quarterback? What kind of player should LSU be recruiting this cycle and in the future?

I think character and leadership abilities are too often overlooked.

One has a canon arm and hit a moving target at 50 yards or more.

Underrated quality I would look at is grades and attendance... I want a QB who never misses a day and has the cerebral ability to learn/adapt when need be.

For me it's gotta be accuracy with a quick release. The quicker you can get the ball out the less time the defense has to figure out WTF just happened to them!
As someone who used to play DE/Lb, I can't tell you how frustrating it is when you consistently beat your man to get to the quarterback and he flicks it for a completion once you're near.

Ability to read a defense, absorb a playbook, go through progressions, ability to operate under pressure and not get rattled. Then physical ability. There are a lot of physically talented QBs, but that doesn't necessarily equate to success.

A player who is very accurate, strong football IQ (knows X-O's ) has enough athletic ability to move from presser and is a strong team leader.

Accuracy.

Accuracy can get you further than any other single attribute.

When did LSU start recruiting QBs? I don't think that is in the binder.

Can’t teach arm strength

You know what you can do?

Scheme to the point where you QB has easier decisions to make.
