i dont know why you guys just dont face the music RIGHT NOW!-KEYWORD auburn is sitting pretty for both trovon and lache with lsu in the passengers seat am i wrong? BUT I AGREE ITS STILL A LONG WAYS TILL FEB. i dont know why yall think we are going to be pittyful next year... i really dont, i mean all of are sec losses were by less than a touchdown except bama!!!!!!! Qb is improved and so is the receving corps o-line is thin but solid rb is stacked! defense is strong once again

AU lacks talent, especially for the spread

AU lost talent without replacing it (mainly marks) and they're once again running (an inferior version of) a spread

Alabama 36 - 0 L
Ole Miss 17 - 7 L
WVU 34 - 17 L
UT Martin??? 37 - 20 W
Miss. St 3 - 2 W
Southern Miss 27 - 13 W

Arkansas 25 - 22 L
Vanderbilt 14-13 L
Tennessee 12-14 W
LSU 26-21 L
Georgia 17-13 L

ULM 34 - 0 W

OK... so looking over the teams that you played last year, you were handily beaten by Ala and WVU, you were beaten soundly enough by Ole Miss, you couldn't score a touchdown on Mississippi State, and you lost 4 of the 5 close games in which you played. The mark if a good team is being able to win the close games and not to just keep the score close. In one game last season you were able to meet expectations.

As far as your expectations for this year, you're breaking in yet another system, Kodi Burns has yet to show that he is an SEC-caliber QB, you're placing your hopes for the receiving corps on a guy who hasn't played competitive football in three years, and you don't have the backs to implement a cardboard copy of a spread.

Even if your D is up to par, your offense is not going to move the ball for shite. After last year, I had this season's game in Death Valley chalked up as a snoozefest, but I'm beginning to think more and more that I'm going to love seeing the score get run up.

Qb is improved

WTF. How? Because its a new year and they couldn't possibly suck any more than last year?

quote:

so is the receving corps

Again, WTF?

quote:

rb is stacked!

Once again, WTF?

It is because of posts (repetitive by the way)like these that we on this board take most of you Aubbies to be delusional. Now let me spell out how you could argue those positions are improved:

QB is improved because we had a freshman (one of the top 10 QB recruits in the country) step up and play very well in big games last year. Now he has another year of our offense under his belt. To top it off, we signed the top overall QB in the country. Improved.

WR is improved because we had a guy who would have been a first round NFL pick return for his third year of being a starter. We have another guy (one of the top 10 WR recruits in the country) ready to step up to a starting role. And again, just to add depth, we signed the top overall WR in the country. Improved.

RB is stacked because we have a guy who ran for almost 1200 yards in the SEC back again. Also, we have a guy who could probably start on just about any other SEC team backing him up...again. Just to add depth to the position, we signed one of the top 10 RB recruits in the country. Improved.

See how its done?

The problem with delusional thinking is that it is rationalized by such an obscure interpretation of the social norm and what is socially acceptable that their errors are not immediately evident.

On the plains people wear the war eagle glasses, and this is not only normal but encouraged.

In Tuscaloosa they wear crimson glasses and eat Saban's bullshite (winning bullshite, but bullshite none the less) and this behavior is encouraged there as well.

In Louisiana everything is P&G or GTFO. Homerism, wishful thinking, and grandiose ideas about the future of our football program run amuck here as well.

The difference? WE ARE ON TD.COM. That is Tigerdroppings, of the LSU variety. This board was created primarily for LSU fans and if we want to wear P&G glasses well then dammit were gonna wear em. This is our house. You are welcome to come by wearing rival gear and waving your rival flag, but don't make the mistake of thinking this is anything other than OUR house.

You are a guest here. Come in take your shoes off and stay a while, but if you want to be a Bama homer thats fine just go to BOL with the rest of your brethren. If you want to be an AU homer go talk to your cows or something. j/k Criticize us on your own board if you must, but while you are here remember your place.

QB- we have neil caudle who was elite 11 QB who i believe will get the nod over burns in the end because he is a way better passer......caudle has been botherd with injuries most of his auburn career......But if rollinson qualifies he might play his frosh year (i hope not because i want him to redshirt and play with lache and trovon when they are true freshman)

RB- we lose noone besides lester who didnt even play at the end of the year......fannin is a beast he will be more involved......onterrio mccaleb is a superstar in the making and a freshman, he will get serious PT.

WR- deangleo benton is gonna play from day 1.....we have terrel zachery who didnt play last year for academic reasons i believe......he broke records in high school and was a serious playmaker during the A-day game for us......travante stallworth who has serious speed! who i believe is the biggest sleeper from LA will play,if phillip pierre-louis is not fully recoverd.

exaccctly, u havent seen the man throw one pass but u say Lee >>>>>>>>>> Caudle. That's the ultimate blind homerism

I'm not even saying Lee isnt better, but at least i wait to see both play before i compare.

Caudle will be our starter this year. Burns is garbage throwing the ball

Chizik has given me zero reason to think he can win at football, but every reason to think he can't.

Caudle is garbage and you know it. He wasn't impressive coming out of HS and can't even seperate himself from that safety that thinks he's a QB
