I don't have VIP access, but my auburn buddy tells me Canada has been in continued contact. a lot hinges on Jake Fromm at UGA taking over for Eason and never relinquishing the reigns. also what the future holds at auburn with stidham and committed 4* joey gatewood (who is blowing up). apparently he's not that enthralled with fsu and francois will get a medical redshirt. just passing along info.

Still a distant 4th or 5th but with the way some things are unfolding we could definitely get in on this recruitment. We have one of the best selling points having a senior starting QB and Matt Canada here now.

Well his top schools going into the weekend were Georgia, Auburn, Florida and Florida State. The perfect storm seems to be building up for those schools to look less attractive to a young QB. He wants to go into a school that doesn't have a young guy entrenched in the starting spot when he arrives. I think LSU would be a very good situation for him to go into, but Fields winning the job would likely mean losing Brennan and Narcisse either right before or right after the 2018 season.

I freaking wish we could get inside his top 3 and fricking press press press.. use every possible resource you have and put the full court press on him to at least get him on campus for an official visit.

No he won't. He already redshirted. He has to miss another year before he would get his 6th year.

You have 5 years to play 4. If you miss 2 years due to circumstances beyond your control, you can get a 6th year. A normal redshirt is considered to be within your control.

Yeah but he's a RSSoph so the discussion on a medical redshirt is somewhat irrelevant.

I'm not sure he could beat out #15 to be honest. Brennan is gonna look like a seasoned vet by game 1 next year. Kid is extremely accurate and has a dam cannon.

Fields would beat out Brennan. Just being honest.

Whether he would or he wouldn't, we need a quality QB in this class. The way QB's transfer today, you need one in every class.

You are kidding, right? All we have seen Brennan do at this point is play mop-up duty in a game with absolutely no stress. And when he was in high school, he played against chumps.

Look, I am not predicting anything negative, because I do not know how his LSU career may pan out. He may very well be a superstar. But until we see how he performs with LSU behind with 90 seconds to play in the 4th quarter, I will withhold judgement. Also I would like to see how hae handles getting the snot knocked out of him.

Again, he may shine in every situation - I sure hope so. But to think a current HS senior is incapable of surpassing Brennan down the road is silly.

Yeahhh.. I don't think he's basing his opinion on Brennan from his play in the game Saturday night.. lol

So true! Haha. I was so fired up for the Jennings era after that game. Man that's crazy to think about.

Exactly. There is nothing to go on except "hope" at this point. And Fields has just as much promise as Brennan - don't you think?

You don't know that anymore than the other guy knows Brennan would beat him out. On top of that Narcissistic may beat them both. Best case, get Fields to sign and let's find out. 7 on 7 with no tackling is much, much different than college football in the SEC. 7 on 7 is what Fields reputation is built on moreso than even his hs film.

Really liked what I saw from Kevin Doyle against De La Salle on ESPN.
