Possible future football commit

Caleb Roddy from DS is a 2016 DE. He was 1st team all district, and metro. Kid already has 4 offers which include LA Tech, Arizona St, Tulane, and Southern Miss. My son is friends with him at Denham and he has been getting TONS of letters from big schools like Alabama, LSU, and others. Miss st has shown a lot of interest and will prolly offer soon. He has been getting recruited by them heavily and caleb really likes them! But my son was talking to him and he said LSU as of late has been showing a ton of interest in him. He stated that if LSU were to offer that's where he'd go. His reasoning was that LSU puts the most dline man in the NFL! Would love to have this kid, has great potential and is a Beast!

Just last week a guy in here posted this kid wanted an offer from an unnamed SEC school and wouldn't be at LSU. Not doubting the opa info but it just goes to show you that most of recruiting is complete bs and heresay. Yet we love it. We are gluttons for punishment

Just what I was thinking--LSU could really use a DE like him in this class with just one DE committed so far and time running out until NSD.
But the state is loaded with many outstanding defensive linemen for the 2016 class and he is yet another one.

Has he camped at LSU before, does he plan on camping this year? Also, do you know if they are trying to get him in for Boys from the Boot?

It's kids like this that we need to fill our depth chart up with IMO. This guy will be a hellava 2nd 3rd year guy or someone to come off the bench with. He's big takes on blockers very well and plays his position, let's the play come to him. He looks decent IMO. If LSU would recruit the State real hard they could find guys like this every year. Guys that you know after a few years in the program would be great prospects. Then you go for the big name guys also but gets these kids on board first and then add quality depth to it. Yeah when I saw that LSU let go of Lawson I was upset BC he was raw but you could see the power this guy had and you knew would be a star in the coming years. Kinda like Godcheax but DG was a lil more polished but not much. I like this guy and LSU needs to go ahead and get him on board if possible. He def. Needs to go camp and that would get him his offer. I don't blame Les for doing it like this BC you get a lot better look and feel for the kid if you can see and meet him in person bf offering. GT

Yes he has camped there before and have been recruiting heavily as of late, expecting an offer from miss st next week
