I see a bunch of people say he will likely Grey Shirt.
Why is that? I don’t see why he should, unless his injury is going to push into next season. We should stop saying kickers, punters, and long snappers should take grey shirts or just walk on. Those kids put in the work also. We’ve done well for the most part at those positions.
Todd is the #1 at his position and is a 3 star.
I think it’s less likely for him to take a grey shirt or walk than for someone else to get processed.
I’d say Foreman, Smith, Byrd, BTJ, and Leigh all have spots if they want them. We currently have 21 commits leaving us with 4 spots left.
Certainly wish we hadn’t gotten that transfer DB last minute.

What are you talking about. I just said he wasn’t going to. Every post I read about recruits left out there says we can land them all and Todd will Grey shirt. And that just doesn’t seem realistic for him to do this.

If you are talking about the Fantasy League coaches on here dont worry about it. They know nothing.
If you see it on a pay site then start considering it as possible. And they dont know much.

I would not expect that. I saw an interview with him a month or so ago where he said he opted to have a surgical repair of something and it was not major but he wanted to be in shape for Spring.

If I’m not mistaken, only one punter on the roster is given a scholarship. ZVR coming back next year is probably the biggest reason PT is grey shirting. The likelihood of him getting a scholly in the future is pretty high.

I mean he’s punted in the last two games so he’s def over the surgery he had earlier this year. Last night he hit one 63 and 57. I think they downed the 57 yarder at the 11. He’ll def be fine. I’ve posted on here numerous times that he had the surgery due to the uncertainty of the HS season and wanting to be ready for college. Also, he plans on enrolling early so his actions don’t seem like a person planning on not playing as soon as they let him. Now LSU may have other plans, but if they do, he hasn’t mentioned it.

So you would rather cut a higher ranked position player than have Todd greyshirt? Or have him not greyshirt and not have a spot for somebody you really want?

Why in the world would ZVR come back? He can make money in the league after this season and he's not exactly a spring chicken!

Do you think ZVR is one of the 32 best punters in the world? He is having a great year but not sure if he would make it on a NFL team. I am one of his biggest fans because I know his family but not sure what the future holds for Zach.

ZVR has lived the dream the last few years at LSU and was a huge part of the 2019 NATTY run. But he would not win a head to head battle with this kid. 2020 will be his last year here at LSU.
