Palelei and Fournette
Posted by recruitnik on 7/26/13 at 12:39 pm00
Are we looking at LSU's version of Jones and McFadden?

they will be nice, but not nearly as good as those two were

ETA: If I could have filled this reply up with :spannks: I would have totally done it. LF is a RB stud LSU has rarely seen before (IF he comes) and Palelei is rock solid. Don't sell them short.

Pretty fair comparison actually. Fournette, IMO, will be every bit as exciting as McFadden was. However, I think Palelei and Jones are a litter tougher to compare. Jones was dynamic, whereas Palelei runs lower and may have a little more power than Jones. If Fournette and Palelei can be anything like McFadden and Jones were, the next 3-4 look very promising.

You can't know that . Fail Fail Fail

And to think along with Jones and McFadden they had Hillis in the same backfield and could never win anything. Three starting NFL running backs in the same formation.

Fournette maybe. Palelei? No. He's not on that level. Nothing wrong with that - those other guys have had successful NFL careers.

Im more interested in seeing Fournette and Derrius Guice together... Talk about a problem for defenses espcially with the wide receivers having a year of experience too. I know I am thinking ahead but I can not wait!

The best SEC backfields I've seen in my lifetime are as follows:
1. Auburn - Cadillac, Ronnie Brown, Brandon Jacobs
2. Arkansas - Run DMC, Felix, Hillis
3. Tennesse - Jamal Lewis, Travis Henry, Travis Stephens, and Onterrio Smith in '99.
We might not have one of the all time great RB depth charts but we might just have the best RB in modern SEC history because Leonard Fournette has that type of talent.

Brosette is a beast but I figure Juice and Brosette will have more playing time together after Fournette leaves.

I think Jones came out of OK as a low 4 star athlete. The 19th ranked athlete with only 2 four star "athlete" recruits ranked lower than him (on Rivals).
Only time will tell how good Palelei and Fournette will be and if both will be in P&G.
