Doesn't matter at Bama. Smoke 'em if you got 'em.

Absolutely correct. How dare people that have been sitting in Air Conditioning find fault with these young men toking it up after being outside in the heat?

I don't think he ever got the chance to compete for PT during the season because he was already in trouble probably is what I'm thinking, but the kid was highly ranked (5*) coming out of HS and showed it during the Spring game where he looked impressive.

He was highly recruited, like 5* Ed Paris, but also like Paris got caught in the depth chart and sat behind other players. Even before Smith's issues he was never in starting/near starting rotation.

That's what my drill sergeant always said when we got to church...any other time we could not have or smoke anything.

Yes, right up until near signing day when 24/7 bumped him down to a 4*.

LSU landed a huge commitment today by way of Mansfield, Texas. Ed Paris is a consensus 5-star prospect and one of the top safeties in the country. He played corner as a Junior and safety as a sophomore. He's a big kid, 6'1-6'2, around 200 pounds. But he runs exceptionally well. He really has the ability to be a true two-way safety.

I think he fits better in Bama'a scheme as a zone corner honestly.

Plus he can puff the cheeba as much as he likes without consequence.
