re: Orgeron hopes to sign a QB, still evaluating and getting visits
I agree. Brennan and Narcisse will hold the position down with more competence and ability than LSU's had in several years. Next year they will need to get another QB, just don't see it a priority this season. If somebody really impresses, maybe, but with 4 spots left there's too many need players to shun one just to add a QB to the roster.

Anyone else taking this as Joseph is either a silent, or he's one of the guys who signed, but hasn't actually announced yet?

Or perhaps LSU’s list is different than some website.

I don't have any issues with Coach Ed using the 24/7 list instead of the composite. I mean signing with Mississippi State and Kansas are not ringing endorsements of being worthy of a top 10 ranking.

I would guess he was talking about how the coaching staff has the players ranked which will be much more accurate than 247 or any other recruiting service.

I don't care what list you use...Rogers, Chase and Joseph are all in the top ten no matter how you slice it. And to my knowledge, we don't have those three guys committed.

frankly, don't think our coaches use any of the rating services. those services don't know near as much about the guys we are recruiting as we do. i'm sure we have our own list; at least we damn sure should. otherwise, why evaluate? just recruit based on these services that rate the entire country and are spread way too thin.

We definitely have our own lists, but in what world are Joseph, Chase and Rogers not in the top ten on anybody's list?

From the same article re: Canada:

Asked if that relationship had been mended, Orgeron had the following interaction with WBRZ’s Michael Cauble.

How has that relationship with Matt been mended throughout the course of the year?
I don’t know what you mean by ‘mended.’

Well, you wanted to do something in the Troy game he didn’t want to do.
Well, I’m the head coach. We’re going to do what I want to do.

Have you been pleased with the progression…
I think it’s been fantastic. I think the offense has done what we wanted them to do. I think it’s been good. For us to win nine games, go 6-1 after Troy game, I think things have been great.

So much for this shite.

re: Orgeron hopes to sign a QB, still evaluating and getting visits
Based on how things have shaken out and various rumors here and there throughout the season, it appears to me that Canada was half-assing his job. I don't know how much his and O's personal issues played into that, but it was pretty clear that he had no intention of staying for next season, and it looks like he decided to just coast to the end. Some rumors even suggest that he may have actually hurt LSU on the recruiting trail in some instances.

Not going to lie, I feel like from a recruiting aspect this year has been so well organized, even with the Canada stuff lingering. We have a few guys that will make an impact right away but in a couple of years we will really see the benifit of loading up the line depth. It wasn't too long ago that we could rotate up front and not lose a step. I think we will get back to that point.

I agree. Even with some coaching drama, there was ZERO recruiting drama. No decommits, no major problems.

Regardless of your opinion of Orgeron, you have to admit this was a very successful recruiting year, with several top prospects still out there and leaning LSU.

Most consider Joseph a lock. Very possible he’s silent committed to the staff. Rodgers is gone. Chase is the last one left. He would make 9/10

I agree. I was just surprised that O hinted that Joseph had either signed or was a silent

Think its time to cut our ties with 2018 Qb's and look to the future

Seen a couple of pics of fosters delivery...no thank you. I've seen enough of Jordan Jefferson at LSU. You could set your sundial by the time the ball came out of his hands. Love Brennans delivery. Compact and holds it by his earhole, as a qb should. Makes all the difference when you need to let it fly in a hurry

'evaluating'? isnt this late in the game to evaluate..we should have locked and loaded one by now.

Please STFU. Your always evaluating. Evaluating options, players, future players, how much a pussy you are etc...this coaching staff, not another rant tard, are going to decide what the best options are for this program.

They’ll take some QB that doesn’t have a prayer to see the field and will transfer out soon. Not having a QB in this class was a huge mistake but taking one for the sake of it is compounding the mistake.

Just means we sign two next year. You can recruite kids all you want, if they don’t want to play here wtf can you do.
