Perhaps we can get back to crootin talk. 19 signatures. 6 spots. We need a running back, possibly a 3rd wide receiver, an offensive lineman, a defensive lineman and a safety.

I’m thinking:

RB: Evans or Gibbs.
WR: no idea here but I don’t think this is as pressing given current depth and depth of ‘21 class
OL: Van the Man Pran
DL: Mr Jackson would be big and very possible.
Safety: BRING ME KAUFMAN OR GIVE ME DEATH

#6 best available (Cooper) or possible transfer

What y’all thinking???

I agree with you except i do not think we need another receiver. Lets build depth on either line.

It's still a damn good class. Getting Evans and another good OL would be huge.

Will be interesting to see if we tweak how we recruit high profile out-of-state kids. Do we go after as many, knowing we may get stood up late? Probably. The CFP exposure puts us even more on the radar for national recruits.

When I was counting, and I'm not sure exactly how many guys are on scholarship currently, but it seems like we're right around 88 or so guys including the signees. I'm guessing at least 3 guys will go pro early so it'll be interesting because if we don't sign many more, we won't need to process many this spring either.

If there is nothing special in the portal, I'd be fine with signing an extra guy or two next year. The year following a championship is usually the best anyhow.

Didn’t you say Evans isn’t signing here?

So who are the other options at running back?

D’Eriq King

You think Brennan stays if we bring King in? Why should he? He can go to a smaller school and start immediately and then we lose him for two years from now. What does bringing King in do for our program? What game will he win us that Brennan can't? Maybe Bama, maybe? And how well do we even know that?

If we don't get Evans, bring in King to play running back. If Brennab were to be injured, let him compete with Parrish and the freshman QBs for the starter.
