He sure does look good in Crimson, guys. I don't think Bama will get him, but Crimson is definitely his color.

Nothing yet for today. No real word on how the Bama trip went but I'm sure it went as one can guess (well). Some of the Bama commits are saying good things but.........of course they will.

He visits us next weekend and I will post anything if I see/hear it on here.

Only thing I saw about the Randle visit was from his father, and Mr. Randle wasn't giddy or anything. He was polite and terse. No new news.

Of concern to 'Bama fans was Trent Richardson's and Brandon Moore's comments after their Florida visits. Moore was a strong 'Bama lean but he's not so sure now. Trent really got worked over by that scumbag Urban Meyer, too.

Ok, thanks for the input. I sure hope he comes to LSU. Being that he is an in state guy, he would be great to have on our side. Could help make the offense real exciting to watch.

IF RR want a NC ring- his best bet is LSU-! This was the year of the Tide and well they fell a couple short- good season but close only counts in horshoes and hand grenades

Disagree that this was Alabama's year. This year's team had Saban's first full class, which was #1 in the nation, and they were only true freshmen.

The talent level is only going to get much, much better in Tuscaloosa in the next few years as Saban continues to stack his classes on top of each other.

Much as I hate to say it, he's right. Bama will only get better and better talent (though I don't think they were that down when Saban got there in all honesty). It's not like he's taking someone like Idaho and making them competitive. Shula had that program in good shape.

That said, I don't think it's necessarily the program's success that will make or break Randle. I think it's level of comfort and how he fits into the system and how he'll be utilized. I think he'll go to the best place for him. If I were to put good money on which school that is right now, I really really like LSU.

Yeah, that's kind of what we thought. But, the coaching attrition takes a toll. Kind of like 2 steps forward and 2 steps back thing except at LSU we never lost someone as critical as a DC or OC, whereas he is losing one or the othee every year at Bama. Look what happened at LSU when we did lose a DC

If LSU recruits as good as Bama and doesn't have the key coaching turnovers, I think we will stay at the top of the SEC West and I think the Staff e nowhave is very solid.

they have their best year in over a decade, won the west, pulled off 3 upsets, and beat the defending national champions (minus a QB, still barely pulled it off, don't get used to it) Take away Utah, and they overachieved all year, but it wasn't their year....

That is a BAMA fan for you, NO TEAM will ever be as good as Bama is GOING to BE...but there are always several teams that are better than they ARE

And, I think I have to throw this in there, just because I got so sick of it- This year doesn't even count for Saban, hes playing with Shula's players, we will see if he is for real in 2010.

We only had 9 seniors this year. I think we played more freshmen than any program except FSU. Kirby Smart was our DC this past season, not Kevin Steele, fwiw.

We were in pretty bad shape when CNS got here. All it took was to look out on the field when we played you guys (when Shula was here), and the difference in the sizes of the two teams was outstanding. I don't know if any of you noticed this year, but throw Julio, Cody, Rolando McClain, Hightower, Woodall, and others out there....and that difference wasn't so noticeable anymore.

LSU has continued to recruit very well themselves, but anyone who doesn't think this Alabama program is starting to put a different type athlete on the field simply hasn't paid very close attention the last few years.

We may stumble a bit next season due to some key losses and a new QB, but we are continuing to bring in studs on both sides of the ball. I feel pretty confident in saying time will prove me right on this.

FWIW, I've pretty much conceded Randle to LSU, but still holding out (faint) hope.

this is a stupid argument. What team doesnt' get better with better talent?? Look at saban with average talent like his first year at bama or michigan state??

I mean who would think you would have a better team with better players?? please.

stay home randle and fight with the bayou boys.

.....or Miles at Oklahom State.

That's my point. Some of your fellow LSU fans above seem to disagree.....
