Everybody is getting their panties in a wad because LSU missed out on 2 defensive backs, disregarding the fact we signed 2 of the best receivers in the nation. If you watched the superbowl tell me what won the game. It sure as heck wasn't defense.

LSU went through Les Miles tenure of strong defense and just enough offense to try to win in the fourth quarter. This philosophy eventually caused him to get canned. LSU is now getting good offensive players and everybody is losing it because we didn't get 2 defensive backs.
What LSU has long needed was an offense that could control the ball and keep the defense off the field. We are getting there so be patient. This was a good recruiting class.

Lsu has been getting elite offensive players for the last 15 years. Talent has rarely been the issue.

I'll believe LSU can throw the ball when I see it. The same shite has been said every offeseason for years now.

From last year to this upcoming year, there appears to be a huge upgrade in talent at QB and WR, downgrade at RB obviously. O-line should be at least as good as last season.

I don't think its unreasonable to expect a better offense this year.

It all comes down to a good QB.

I’m drinking the Brennan kool aid as much as anybody but neither him nor Narcisse have done anything to prove they are better or more capable than Etling was. Running back will take a step back but that was expected and almost unavoidable after missing on guys last year.

WR should be better as a whole but Chark was easily the best at the position last year and he is gone. Luckily the TT transfer is here and should provide a buffer for the younger players to grow up.

O line I agree should be the same or better. Both Clapp and Weathersby were good players but at times throughout the year they were overshadowed by younger players.

Tight ends should be the best in a decade.

Well I said talent, not necessarily production. I think our talent level at QB and WR is much improved going into next season.

I'll agree with you because you are from Winnfield, and someone from Winnfield has nothing better to do than analyze LSU's roster for deficiencies.

schwartzy, that was a dumb thing to say. So all the elite LSU analyzers live in Baton Rouge? I probably know as much about football as you do.

By the way, Winnfield High School had FOUR football players on scholarship at LSU in the early 1980's. Do you know of any high school that has had 4 players on scholarship at the same time?

Tommy Campbell, Ricky Chatman, Jeffery Dale and Kevin Poisso. Some pretty damn good football players.

I know right. People freaking out about not getting a certain CB. You can't make this crap up.

False. No one is disregarding anything. Instead, they are regarding both things at the same time (crazy, I know) and concluded that not signing any CBs this cycle is bad.

Pity party? We lost the #1 CB and #4 overall recruit that we had been in the lead with for 4 years to the midget who had been recruiting him for 4 weeks. And turned away a 4* CB that wanted to come here because we have a HC who is an idiot in addition to being a liar and a con artist. And OP seems to think our geriatric offensive staff is going to suddenly start racking up yards and points. The pity is that a formerly elite program is being burned to the ground by shrimp boat O and I am the search Joe
