I swear to god every time I see a new offer on Twitter, it’s a OL/DL player.

I freaking love this about CBK, he understands that football down to its simplest form is won in the trenches. I’m a former skill guy, DB/WR. And even I know this to be true.

LSU hasn’t been dominant in both trenches in a long time and he seems determined to change this. Get all the big uglies to come play in Red Stick along with the freak show skill guys we always get.

I know we haven’t seen the on field product yet but I’m stoked for 22 and beyond.

Yep. If you nail the trenches, the skill positions fall into place with LA talent and picking off from a couple other states from time to time.

When people ask which highly touted trench players CBK wants on this team.

You don’t become the current winningest active coach in college football by not understanding what it takes to win consistently.

I wish Miles or O would have realized this.

Are you counting vacated wins?

With vacated wins:

Kelly-285 (includes 22 vacated wins & 118 Div II wins)
Saban-273 (includes 4 vacated wins)
Mac Brown-265 (6 wins in div 1-AA App State at the time)
Al Bagnoli-263 (86 wins in DivIII, the rest Ivy League)

If you throw out the vacated wins Saban is first with 269 and Kelly ties for third with 263.

But either way, your statement is correct.

You don't think Miles realized that? LSU has not had a more consistent coach. You don't build a power running offense with good O-lines.

Miles' issue was letting the offensive game pass him by and being too stubborn to see it when it was brought up to him. Well, and the dirty old man thing which was not obvious,

LSU has fallen behind Bama b/c the previous coaches focused on DBU, WRU, Bama has focused on OL / DL. Hopefully, CK sees this!

Miles idea of trench development was recruiting interior linemen and playing them at L/R tackle and a blocking tight end.

miles didn't recruit tackles. when he had them, we were pretty good. his last years we just didn't have any. i remember when Ethan Pocic was here, he was the only tackle we had and we played him at center.

2 National Championships At Grand Valley State and 3 CFP FBS playoff Appearances at ND. If you deal in facts you'd Know this.

Brian Kelly has the best resume at the time of hire in LSU history and it's not even close. Anyone who tries to deny that is just clueless IMO.

Looks like LSU offered the Hulk

Cam’Ron “Hulk” Warren.

Warren is a 6-foot-6-inch, 290-pound tackle from Baltimore. He plays at St. Frances Academy for the Panthers, who finished the season 8-1 last year with their only loss coming to St. Thomas Aquinas out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. They defeated powerhouse IMG Academy in their final game.

Yeah, for an offensive line guy it was bizarre how Miles saw guards and tackles as interchangeable. You might get by with a road-grader guard at RT but it's a pure disaster at LT.
