A recent trip by a stud OT to Bama resulted in the kid's coach calling Saban Robo-Coach. I thought it was pretty comical AND I think it is good they are trying to pull another OT. This may be a result of Cam Rob leaning further to the Tigers (hopefully)...

Saban's whole recruiting pitch seems to be comical to me. Can't wait until we take bama off their pedestal and that day is coming and it's gonna be the Bayou Bengals that get it done. We are the only team that bama fans are nervous to play. With good reason. The uprising has begun. It's only a matter of time and that may not be as long as some folks think.

Drexel your post is great, tbut Sabin doesn't recruit ESPN does his recruiting any other Recruiting is done by staff.

What's comical to me is the Assistant Coaches. All they do is sell Saban. Remember Critobal's messaging to CamRob saying " Coach is really looking forward to calling you," "Not only is Coach the best coach in the nation, he's greatest person in the nation!!"
The timing meetings with him is almost sickening. For a school steeped in tradition like Alabama is, they should be ashamed of this worship for him.

The thing that amuses me is when people talk about how "articulate" Saban is. He's FAR from articulate. He is wooden, repeats clichés, and appears angry and condescending all the time. I agree he is an Alpha Male and don't take an oz of his success away from him, but spare me the "articulate" crap. If I talked like that to other people in my industry, I'd get the douchebag tag hung on me, and replaced in very short order. He has created a bubble for himself, and to the extent that people around him suspend judgment, it works for him. Robo-Coach is an apt moniker.

Robo-Coach is wooden, and everything he says sounds scripted. Almost wonder if he will run for political office after coaching retirement.

I agree with his success here being tide to DiNardo but that doesn't account for what he's done at bama.
