Last night reaffirmed more than ever why it's crucial to have a talented QB behind the football. Sad that Jennings and Harris never lived up to their recruiting hype.

Here's to hoping Brennan and Narcisse do.

Jennings doesn't have the talent but I honestly believe that Harris, J. Lee, and Mettenberger would have developed more if they were able to escape Cam Cameron.

I think Etling improved throughout the season and got more confident. He doesn't have a lot of talent but he is smart and can manage a game, so we made it easy for him and played to his strengths.

Wasn't the stat that Watson the last 2 championship games of 7 TDs and LSU has 7 TDs total the last 10 games played against Bama? It's something like that.

You know, one of these days one of these QB recruits is going to pan out and be a stud. Maybe it's Brennan. Maybe it's Narcisse. Maybe it's neither. But one day LSU is going to have a QB again. Right?

Or having an OC that plays to his QB's strength and not the "square peg, round hole" theory.

makes me sad. I'm not one for 'what coulda been', but this is one subject I can't fight such thoughts off.

Yes he does. If Etling had never played anywhere except LSU people would not be saying all this negativity towards him. NOT because he was always a Tiger but because he wouldn't have poor stats from when he played for a crappy crappy team right out of HS.

People need to start giving Etling more credit than he is getting.

Actually, Mettenberger absolutely blossomed in his one season under Cameron. Night and day better than he had been in 2012.

He must live next door too Harvey Updike with that type of mindset in 2017.

First of all, JL didn't play for Cam. Second, Mett passed for over 3k yards under Cam in 2013, and OBJ and Jarvis had over 1k yards each. Finally, go look at Cam's resume at all the QB's he's developed the last 30 years. You think he all of a sudden just forgot how to coach QB's?? The problem wasn't Cam.

[quote]Etling doesn't have a lot of talent but he smart I can manage the game" with all the skilled players LSU has to work with on offense he doesn't need to be superstar for us to win a national championship. All he has to do is be accurate and hit about 68% of his passes And don't turn the ball over we have the running back's receivers and tight ends for this offense to be very dangerous

Two of them were coached by Cam Cameron. One of them left Two years before Cam got there. Can you figure out which one it was?
