Let's not wish that on the kid. Pratt was a thug to the highest order.

Does anyone on this board actually know someone who spells Michael “Micheal”. I’m asking because idk how people mess it up so often. Yes my name is Michael and it bothers me lol

Best of luck to him. Better now than later. Free up scholarship and slot to be filled

This one hurts. Not many other LSU fans in Grayson, other than me. So I was excited to see a local guy going over..

How is that allowed?

Genuinely interested in the current rules now? So a incoming, freshly signed freshman is already eligible to hit the portal before they even hit the practice field and play out their 1st year now? Just curious how irrelevant the " recruiting/ signing day" is becoming? I must be missing something here, I am Aware of " hardships, etc... , but can an incoming freshman hit the portal before ever playing with new team..? Apparently?

Yes. Really hurts the young man more than the program. The young man basically wasted a transfer without really trying. That player could go to next school and not like it also but have to sit out a year now.

Gotcha, thanks. So...he will be saddled with the 1- time transfer going forward even though he never played a snap. Still have to sit a yr. The next time...but it's getting crazy it's even an option.

He did seem very pampered by his parents.

They called him king. I actually liked him as a player, but this is just weird.

Hopefully, we will get the real story in the next day or two.

I thought the window for entering the transfer portal was closed back in January and wouldn't reopen until spring....
I don't know how he was allowed to enter the portal till spring.

Part of life. I wish him the best no hate but everything is a learning experience. I know this not the same but when I joined military I was home sick 1st year. I didn't have the option to leave but after serving 6yrs it was best time of my life now that I look back. I only had the option of sticking it out or go AWOL. Lol

It was long before he even signed there was speculation he wouldn't make it in the class and then he looked bad in the all star game which just further solidified they might move on. I'm not saying that's what happened here just that it was even surprising he signed with LSU. He didn't have the development leap they thought he would have. He dipped in ratings too. Obviously they honored his commitment.

This is the Rant can’t be something as simple and innocent at homesickness. Must be attitude, trouble-maker, drugs, grades, alignment, etc. C’mon you know this!

Right, i get what you are saying, but i never read about him not being in the class. I do remember him not looking good at the all-star games. Even after the all-star games i didn't read about him not being in the class.

This seems like he decided to move on.

Honestly with the portal recruiting doesn’t matter as much.
Oh the downvotes I got for saying the same thing.

Recruiting is pointless, unless you are going to start the kid from Day 1

I think my only question is; who did we not offer in this class, that we should have, in Daughtery’s place?

Probably find someone in portal in May with 2 or 3 yrs left to play with some experience that wants to be here. I love the portal for this exact reason.

"Respect his decision", huh

Maybe CBK needs to tweet "MD is no longer a Tiger, respect our decision"

I don't think our head coach operating the football program the same way an 18 year old operates his life is the best idea for long term success. Just ask O.

He was probably the weakest take of the class.
