.... Nelson becomes their 1st HS athlete signed. This kid will be shopped around to the highest bidders for marketing deals and about to make crazy bank. Klutch will increase Nelson's NIL portfolio and start signing dozens of other HS players.

Amateur sports (HS and college) has been forever changed as we once knew it. Sports agents have now entered the building and it's gonna get crazy.

NIL was happening through local business and car dealerships. Now you have Sports Agency Groups involved that are owned by sports agents. Hiring an agent was always a no no . FYI - Creative Artists Agency is owned by Tom Condon as they signed Brees, Aaron Donald, and Joel Embiid to lucrative marketing deals.

Yea… his NBA model is to strong arm every franchise to get his players way. Interested to see how this works when he’s representing a college football player.

This is garbage. There goes their tiny amount of innocence they had left. This is the minors for NFL - and a business.

You expect these kids to be able to negotiate deals themselves? They need agents so they don’t get screwed over

I thought the NCAA only allowed agents who were not licensed by any of the pro sports leagues to rep players. Maybe they get around this by having his actual agent not be licensed, but I thought that was the original catch. There's no way Nelson is the first player with representation, just the first with rep on the scale of Klutch.

Mikey Williams signed with Excel Sports last summer.

I could be wrong but my suspicion is that many of these guys will spend their time on NIL rather than being coached to greatness. This will take some time to tell...

Now when they come out and become great on the field then reap the benefits will be where the fan/money appreciation will wind up in the long run.

NIL is bad enough. Is what it is with loopholes. But fricking agents? Come on

You already saw this last year with Rattler and Uiageleli in year one. You’ll continue to see it across college sports. It can be a huge distraction if you let it.

This is nothing new. Real Sports on HBO had a recent episode where the USCe Women’s Basketball coach explained that the entire women’s basketball team had agents. Wake up and smell the coffee people

Can't wait to see how many players bust. Gonna be a lot of wasted money spent.

This is good for the athlete, needed to happen in the age of NIL so that they’re not getting thrown into bad deals
