I agree. Writing him is a bit immature.

So I called and left him a voicemail instead.

His FB page says he's a member of the N.O. Alabama alumni chapter. He needs to carry his arse to Al.com . That's a quick way to find yourself "downsized".

St Aug, as a school, is very disciplined, but as a Football Program they are notorious underachievers, usually because of a LACK of discipline. This is even more evident today because Crutchfield's teams are always undisciplined. No telling how many State Championships they would have won post Otis Washington if they had discipline.

They should've beat WM in 93. Kickoff return for a TD and a kickoff St Aug played like a punt lost the game. Just didn't recover it and WM got the ball deep in their territory. 14 points and WM won in OT by 1 when St Aug went for two.

How so? If anything, you are much more likely to get a response from him that way.

More immature, IMO. This is just an article about college football recruiting. No need to take it to that point.

So tell us Brewhan, what should we do to a guy that writes irresponsibly in New Orleans about our coach in Baton Rouge? Writers have influence on young kids. Are we supposed to just allow this guy to say that he TOTALLY agrees with the Gump; that Miles cant discipline his team. And one of the best recruits in the country from our own state, should go to Bama without a doubt?
Should we just roll over and let a writer say these unfair and incorrect statements without any consequences at all?
He should apologize to all of Tiger Nation and should call Miles personally and apologize. That was crap!

Is this the game in Tad Gormley when WM came out in the all white uniforms?

Why would Lyons apologize? He is an Alabama fan, not an LSU fan. Went to Newman, then Bama, then Tulane.

No that was 2000. St Aug never had a chance in that game. They LHSAA tried like hell to get an all NOLA final with the commish and Mayor on TV saying that's what they wanted. Shows was kicked out in the first quarter after Mark Banks got into the endzone twice according to replay, but the refs said no as well as a WM player getting BITTEN ON THE LEG. Player came to sideline with teeth marks on his leg, and WM was flagged for the kid pushing him off. Shows went crazy and was tossed.

The 93 game was at West Jeff. St Aug had all purple and WM had blue/white/blue. My Dad tried to force me to carry a Rebel flag into the stadium and I told him he was crazy. "It's just a damn high school game. Nothing's going to happen" Yeaaah Dad. Someone was shot in the parking lot during the national anthem.

He hasn't had one player suspended for failing a drug test. What does that mean? The kids don't do it while at school?

His teams PLAY disciplined. Don't kid yourself with the no failed drug test thing, the Schools control these tests. Kirkpatrick was arrested for weed a week after he declared for the Draft.

If he writes an opinion column he shouldn't, commenting on his "news" story and agreeing with a blatantly slanted, not exactly factual comment by a fan of another team is un professional.
