LSU's looking for DL, here's a hidden gem, Caleb Jackson, his coach calls him a monster

DL Caleb Jackson from Zachary is listed as a 2star but according to coach Brewerton. it should be much higher.
The Advocate sports - "Among the individual superlatives, Caleb Jackson had numbers that jumped out. The senior defensive lineman finished with seven tackles, a total that included 2½ sacks for 22 yards in losses. Jackson also had 3½ of Zachary’s 10 tackles for losses."
“(Caleb) was awesome tonight,” Brewerton said. “He’s a great kid, has a 3.5 GPA, 25 ACT — somebody’s going to pick that kid up (to play college football). He’s going to be a monster.”

We need an “underrated recruit” board during state playoff season. Every time a kid has a good game someone makes a thread about how they are a diamond in the rough even though they are 4 inches too short and 40 lbs too light for SEC football

There's always that painful reminder of the "underrated" DL from LA Tech that dominated LSU's Oline in 2018.

Here is that painful reminder that 99.99% of underrated players play aren’t underrated. Especially your 6’2” 240lb DT who only has interest from Southern.

Taking low ranked players from a talent-rich school can burn you. If the kid comes to LSU and never plays, he could cause bad blood between the school and LSU.
Always a danger. The better route is to trust your evaluations and don’t let connections to a certain school or thoughts of a pipeline influence your decisions.

He's highly intelligent and athletic, LSU absolutely needs to sign 5-star linemen, but they also need to be smart enough to recognize hidden gems in our state, for the times they miss out on signing 5-star Dlinemen. Caleb has the grades to be a first-year walk-on at LSU, Brewerton is extremely high on this young man's abilities.

Oh YEah! More under the radar guys on the DL. So we battling ark now for them 2 and 3 stars. Nothing against most of these kids but LSU aint winning jack shite with under the radar guys.
