Really just 3 for me since the midweek games are impossible coming from Houston. I always give my tickets to people that will come and cheer.

I hope that there is one weekend where all 3 games are available because I hate to travel over for just 1 game.

It will save me a lot of travel money, but that was the least of my concerns.

I feel bad for the players that we all can't be there, but at least they are getting to play. Cutting last season in the middle was brutal.

Any word on how K Housh has been looking

I am assuming you are talking about Kennedi. She seems to be making a nice impact with her glove so far. I saw her turn an amazing double play in the scrimmage the other day. Very good looking SS. Haven't seen her hit yet but she was highly regarded coming in.

Is it Thursday yet? Fired up to get this season underway. Saw that Pleasants was the only freshman named to an All-American team (third team).

I'm excited, ready to see if they can pick up on where they left off last year.

How good is the catcher we have committed from Notre Dame of Crowley Maci Bergeron?

She is really damn good, top 5 player in the country easily.

Big time power hitter. She was on pace for over 30 home runs last year before COVID ended the season.

Here is a home run she hit over the scoreboard at A&M's park

Maxprep's High school softball: Top 25 players from the Class of 2022. Many 2022 commits recognized. Maci was ranked the #1 player in the class.

The returning state Gatorade Player of the Year looks to lead her team to a repeat state championship in 2021.

As a freshman, Maci Bergeron hit 20 home runs, batted .579, and led her Notre Dame (Crowley, La.) team to the 2019 Division III state championship in Louisiana, earning game MVP honors. The LSU commit and No. 1 softball player in the Class of 2022 added 12 more long balls before the season was canceled in 2020.

8. P — Sydney Berzon, Baylor (Chattanooga, Tenn.)
Status: Committed to LSU
As a freshman, Berzon led Baylor to a fifth straight softball state title.

My good friend at Bellaire faced Alea in a tournament at Gulf Shores two years ago and called me right after the game saying she's one of the best he's seen in a long time. As good or better than his former pitchers who pitched at OK State and Texas.

I watched Emma at LSU camp a few years ago and was hoping she would commit to us. She was that impressive as a 7th grader. We play right after them in a tournament next weekend so hopefully she will throw and I'll get to see how much better she has gotten.

I think I remember that the 2021 class is signed now rather than committed (on page 1). Is that correct?
So these names for 2022 would be the next actual class.
I tend to get a little confused since the softball players commit so early.
Although, I do remember there being some NCAA legislation that limited how early the athletes can be recruited.
At any rate, I appreciate the effort you put into keeping us all up to date. 247 is not covering softball recruiting for some reason.

We were supposed to play at the St Thomas More tournament in April, but because of covid restrictions, we can't travel overnight. I was hoping we might play her team.

I saw her a few times this summer since so many tournaments were held in Sugar Land, 3 blocks from my house.
She's impressive!!

Did you ever get to see Emma Strood play recently?

Thought you mentioned you were suppose to.

Side non recruiting note, those Cowgirls of McNeese are tied with UL in extra innings right now 7-7
