Haleigh Bryant, Olivia Dunne, Sierra Ballard

Unsure of the reason Arenas couldn’t make it this weekend but Emma Kelley was at homecoming

Hey Tigers - there's some video from Friday's intrasquad on this Twitter account. It's not at the top, scroll down. There's not many more, but there's also some good video on some other teams.

Podium training underway for the US at Worlds. Based just on lineups, looks like Eaker will compete. Ragan appears to be the alternate.

The floors for these world championships in the practice facility looks hard as a rock. A lot of weird stuff

She is tremendous on beam. has a very nice look

That 1 1/2 looks so much better, excited to see how this all looks when season rolls around. Expecting a big year from her with how she continues to improve

Here is Kara Eaker on beam during Qualifications at Worlds. She did a phenomenal job managing nerves for her first time out there. She should be proud.

She finished 2nd in qualifications on beam behind Biles

Riley did not seem to handle the nerves very well....

Btw Sierra Ballard is visiting Arkansas this weekend.

Kara was a trooper today. Riley did look a little nervous. Hopefully she will be over the jitters in team finals.

Arkansas will most likely offer Sierra a full scholly. She is training some very nice skills.

All scholarships in gymnastics are full ones

Its a body count sport

Yes, it is a body count. I believe she will have other offers coming her way.

Isn't she Jay Clark's niece?

Is it likely LSU offers at some point or do they have higher ranked targets that will get the scholarships?

Would she walk on under TOPS if they present the opportunity?

Yes

Given the scholarship situation, I am not sure there is room for one. LSU has Dunne, Bryant, Arenas, and Kelley who are all top national recruits.

I don't know where the money would come from given the current status of the roster

She would get in state tuition and TOPS if she came here. She is a very smart kid so she should pretty much all of it covered. I would be shocked to see her elsewhere personally. She lives in Mandeville with her family and has a top 5 program with some of the best facilities in the world down the road with her uncle as the associate HC.

She is now getting major interest from top programs given her recent development at the JO level.

Agree it would be difficult for a local gymnast to bypass LSU unless the financial situation is such that a full scholarship is needed.

I believe in football a walk on has to be in the program two years prior to converting to scholarship status. Does the same apply in gymnastics and other sports?

Team USA won gold again by over 9 points lol

Eaker had the highest beam score today among the entire competition, looking forward to seeing her in the event finals.

Biles has had 2 falls today. Those kidney stones must be bothering her. If she can make it through floor she should still win but she is trying to make this a competition.

She still won by like 2 points hahaha

Hurd shakes more than a motel bed at international competitions on beam

Some of these seniors are in for a awakening once these juniors move up to the senior ranking next year. Wong, Sunsia Lee, Dicello all have a lot of phenomenal upgrades going rn

I felt awful for Eaker at the beam finals

Shades of Alicia Saccramone right there with the dagger from the mount
