Per Jeff Goodman:

Someone must have told Wade "too much, baw, too much too soon, people will start to think something..."

It's very likely an issue of eligibility and APR consequences. Frankly, a waiver would set a very bad precedent for the NCAA.

He's a one and done who isn't interested in sitting out a year to just get drafted next year and go pro anyway.

Nothing to see here.

If he goes to Kansas and gets a waiver, they likely become the favorite to win it all

Yeah. Wade must feel like the risk is too high he won't get cleared then he bolts asap anyway

in other good news, got 8 crystal balls our way for 5 star Naz Reid and 1 each for Darius Days and Kaden Archie. exciting to see, lets go CWW!

Its highly doubtful Mitch plays a minute of college basketball. His mom ruined any chance of that when she made him enroll at WKU.

Such a bizarre situation. I wanted the kid bad. He can ball. Hope all this craziness doesn't derail his career.

Yep, Reid's buddy Quinerly went to Arizona and thus ended their package deal, and Texas got a commitment from a wing player, which will help us with Archie

No, just no. They have too many holes. They've got 6 guys who have to sit out the year, they have no bench. And Self will choke like always.

I mean do you really think they're better than UK, Duke, or UNC? Kentucky has like 7 5 stars, Duke has like 5 and is probably getting Marvin Bagley, and UNC returns most of a championship team. Mitch is good, but he ain't that good.

Such an odd situation, she had to have been given some things she didn't want to give back

Bird in the hand is better.

Wade didn't want to get rid of a guaranteed eligible player for one who may never play a minute.

According to other sites he won't get a waiver, hence LSU not recruiting him any longer. He's either sitting out the year, Juco, or going overseas. My hues is just sitting out

Would've been a luxury take. Already liked where this things headed.

I have no problem rolling with this roster and focusing on '18 haul.

Looked into it...non-starter...move on.

I think Tigers will be an NIT/NCAA bubble team this year.

And fun to watch.
