Of course to make Bama better. But his post is correct imo. They somehow get these kids to string LSU along, intentionally imo. Sure the kids "might" be undecided but when they say they were Bama all along, you realize they were playing Les and staff.

I can't believe people are still buying that Hooties mom wasn't treated well at her visit. They're just looking for an excuse.

The point is simply that Saban tries to make Bama better while simultaneously trying to weaken LSU. He also ties up our recruiting as long as he can.

The LSU-Alabama choice is always there. Not all Louisiana kis go to LSU, obviously. But, have you ever seen a top Louisiana recruit that was between Alabama and a school NOT LSU?

EVERY Louisiana kid that Alabama ever gets always has it between Alabama and LSU. LSU isn't always in it for every Louisiana kid. Why just the Alabama recruits? Then they say that they wanted to go out of state all along. Then why have LSU in it until the last possible minute and put out all of this info over the preceeding months?

Cause LSU did a good job of getting a kids attention, and I think kids do respect their instate school, even if they want to head out of town.

I don't think so. bama isn't better today than they were 2009. I think saban is not focusing on his home state as much as he should. That team had multiple players from bama, julio, the lb that went to the raiders, darius, a great center and guard, not to mention kirkpatrick and the safety.

Bama is getting some louisiana and other state talent. however, they are missing on some big kids in bama as well. J. winston comes to mind, not to mention a few of the AU players. We have kwon. f.s.u., Au, Florida, have got some players from bama in bama.

At the end of the day, saban and bama are still a outstanding program. however, i can see where they may be forgetting where they came from. Reminds me of bobby bowden, built his program with florida talent, then, when on top, recruited nationally, forgot about his base, then took a slide giving florida and miam the rise.

If LSU offered Sims like they offered Quinn, Noil, Dupre, etc. without a camp invite, he would have jumped on that shite in a heartbeat

Oh look. Foosball comin out da woodworks to make sure we all know how much LSU sucks.

Lacy couldn't spell his name.

Collins is one guy. Does Alabama have Dutchtown on lockdown? How many players have they taken out of there without some extenuating circumstances?

Definitely, but I do think there is more to it than that. Saban knows the potential that exists at LSU, and it's better to target a Louisiana player than one at Virginia or NC... Kill two birds with one stone... Get a good player, and hurt LSU at the same time.

The biggest example I've seen of this is when he offered Zach Mettenberger, a JC QB, despite already having A.J. IMHO, Saban thought highly of Zach, and despite not really needing him, offered him so that LSU didn't get him.

Cam is one guy.
Hootie is one guy
Sims is one guy.

Those aren't schools that send players to Bama. WM sent one and double digit to LSU the last 20 years. I don't remember anyone from Ouachita or Neville going to Bama.
