Ms Gobourne did say that in LSU’s Defense she doesn’t think Jay knows (knew?) the full story. There are transfer rules in place such that UCLA’s coach would not be allowed to contact Jay to discuss AJ. I don’t think we’ll ever get the full story…the fb and Reddit threads are both crazy…but hopefully both schools can release a simple press release once/if the transfer is confirmed.

That makes sense.
LSU recruited Jeffrey pretty hard before she picked UCLA. Its likely a scenario where LSU didnt know of any backstory but saw she was in the portal and jumped immediately to try to grab her before another program did.

Just seems like red flags would have gone up for her entering the portal so soon, warranting some deep digging into why.

That fb topic about it yesterday was crazy. Someone said “we’re not here to find the truth”. WHAT???
Also I find it odd that Derrian’s mom heard it but none of our gymnasts heard anything about it from chae. Or aleah, who is lexi’s bff, didn’t say anything to the rest of the team or Jay if true.

Bama totally won that meet. Foot movement on 1st pass for reed and trinity had huge lunge on last pass. Both great routines but neither 10’s. Also those beam scores for bama were something. I had at least .1 point higher for burgess. But Fla judges gonna Fla judge.

Cal looked less prepared than the other top teams, we’ll see if they can bounce back. Side note but I have been following Kyla Bryant since her Georgia Elite days and am so happy to see her having a phenomenal performance today and finally get the scores she deserves!

I just read up on that post. Those are some pretty strong accusations from Gobourne’s mom. When someone asked for proof, she told them to do their own research like the real story is all out in the open

I know we are unlikely to eer get any clarity on the Jeffery situation, but I am curious...especially given how UCLA performed today (not that I think that's why she left - I just think it may signal some underlying team issues - though then again, UCLA is famous for their slow starts)

I watched it. UCLA looked unprepared. Marz hit her foot on the low bar and was out of the floor and vault lineups. Chiles overcooked her double full on vault and she’s doing a lot of unnecessary difficulty on bars. Brooklyn Moors (floor), Norah (bars), Ana (beam), and Chae (floor!, vault) were really the only bright spots. I know they normally start slow but they were a hot mess.
