Also, to give some of you a local tie to the Dodgers scout team. I believe they're based out of the Northshore but have kids from all over. Jeff Winchester helps coach the 2029 team. His younger son plays.

This reminded me to check up on how his son is doing at Air Force. Played in 5 games last year as a freshman. But this, from his bio, is pretty fricking cool:

correct the actual dodgers scout team is the knights national team. but they are mainly based out of cali as far as tryouts and things of that nature. but they are a knights team and there are kids from LA on it.

I believe Nate Alario from Curtis is on one of the Dodgers scout teams, too. And a kid Schieffler from Shaw that started out at Brother Martin.

yea there are quite a few. Im sure there were a bunch of LA players there but there is no searchable data base listing the rosters without going to each team for each age even. Wish there was.

In the past they would have some cali kids on there , it was mainly LA kids this year. Jack Cressend , knights owner and LA dodgers National pitcher cross checker runs the team . In general , Jupiter has lost some steam with the top players playing, like in the past. East coast pro, area code, perfect game all American, prep all American are the big scouted events .

yea surprised not as many cali kids.
but yea area code and east coast seem to be the biggest for the very top names at least in the senior class. Still lots of top 2027 kids. most of the usa prime 2027 kids played. the top 2028s played too.
as far as my comment on rosters, I meant no way to search all of them by state of player. you can do team by team like you did but I dont have that much time really.

Has the Dodgers scout team posted above played any big tourneys yet?
Posted on 10/16/25 at 6:10 pm to DRock88
They did in the summer but I can’t tell if they have any this fall, they haven’t updated their team membership on Pg yet for 2026.
Posted on 10/16/25 at 6:13 pm to lsu777
That's not an incredibly talented roster. Scrappy, not untalented, but doesn't wow me. Who do the other big fish in Louisiana play for?
Posted on 10/16/25 at 6:17 pm to DRock88
Jordin is with prime, #1 ranked 2027 team. Not sure on others as they switch around a lot. I will try and look tomorrow

other lsu guys that played in this years WWBA. most guys didn't play as they made their bones at previous WWBA's and attended the PG national showcase and the PG All American classic this past July then shut it down. If you have a 9.5 or 10 rating and and are committed to LSU, not much to gain by playing and spending the money on the travel. But a could guys did..
2026
-Logan Schmidt- did not pitch but did hit, went 3-12 with a double & 3ks
-Parker Loew- 5-15 with a double, triple & HR. 3ks
-Jordan Martinez- played with MBA Scout- went 5-11 with 2 HRs 3Ks
- Wessley Roberson- played with Canes National/Mets Scout team- 3-11 with a double & 3ks
- Dylan Minnatee- played with mlb breakthrough & went 3-10 w/ triple, 1K
- Will Adams- played with Brewers Scout Team & went 7-14, 4 doubles, 6 rbis, 2Ks
- Colton Christman - played with east coast sox. 3IP, 2H, 1BB, 0ER.
- Luke Tucker- played with Royals Scout team, 0-5, 4ks, 2BB
- Masen Belding- played with Ohio Warhawks, 1-7 w/2Ks
ill have to do 2027s in a little while. It takes a while as I have to look up each name individually

He's interesting to me. He doesn't seem to be getting the draft love that some of our previous catcher commits have. But he played this summer in the Pacific Empire League, which is a pretty decent collegiate summer league, that has some SEC guys in it. He held his own, especially for a rising HS senior at a difficult position.

yea he has struggled at WWBA events. Has attended 3 times and only hit over 200 once and it was 0.214. But he is also 6-2 215. That is hard to teach. and like you said, he has looked good in other non PG events.
He is one of the guys I think they like as a true defensive catcher that they feel has potential with the bat due to size and movement patterns. I mean he did have like 8 HRs last year in Cali HS ball.

Samir was at the WWBA, here is a high speed camera look at him that I thought yall may like. Understand, he still hasnt even played his junior season yet. If he makes it to campus, will be huge.

Off the topic a little bit..... Is there any news this year about updating The Box? Is the bullpen under the bleachers?Just temporarily right now?
Posted on 10/17/25 at 1:46 pm to Islandboy777
If anyone is subscribed to D1, they have fall reports up on two of our non conference opponents, Northeastern and Sac St.
The regular readers of this thread probably already know this, but the non-conference schedule this year is better than it's been in a while. Even if the names don't seem bid, the programs are good. I'm sure there will still be people on the rant bitching about playing some of these teams though.

The general rule is that if something at the Box appears to be done cheaply and/or quickly for temporary purposes it usually becomes permanent.
