Does D1 Baseball normally put out a comprehensive list?

I don't remember. I think they did a college only list. Their scouting guy left to join an MLB org. But they got a new one when they teamed up with Prep Baseball Report and some of the content is available on both sites. I'm hoping they do that with the draft list at some point.

FanGraphs has a lot of good stuff on which teams are scouting which players, and it looks like the Padres were in the running to draft Weathers and also Kumar Rocker (who is going to command a high number to pass up school).

The Royals, who have the biggest pool and 4 top 40 picks, were projected to take a bunch of guys committed to other SEC schools in the FG mock draft.

That bodes well for us if they pass up on Marceaux.

How much is the subscription there?

I keep seeing Turang could fall to the end of the first. I’m pretty sure his family is well off, so unfortunately my hopes are going up

FanGraphs has a membership for like $20, but nothing is behind a paywall. They have a more expensive membership that makes the site ad free as well.

Gotcha. Just curious, where on the site did you find what teams where most interested in prospects?

The mock draft has some of it where they talk about which teams were scouting which players. But also in the Kiley McDaniel and Eric Longenhagen chats it gets mentioned sometimes.

So, we won't get an idea of what pitchers are likely to make it to campus until the fall semester starts. And then they have to throw in fall ball to give the coaches an idea who is best suited for our needs. Baseball recruiting is like rolling the dice.

The deadline to sign if you're drafted is like the friday after July 4th or something like that. So only a month after the draft. We will have a good idea of the shape of the roster by then.

Good news: Jaden hill seems pretty locked in to LSU. Probably highest ceiling arm in the class

I sure hope so. Hill is one of the guys with the highest ceiling in a couple of seasons.

Pretty sure he’s our only other top 100 draft prospect on mlb.com too.

Yea but Marceaux might be rated a little higher on a few sites. Marceaux might be a little more polished as well

I’m interested also to see who goes early from the team this year. Luke Johnson and Todd Walker talked about Duplantis possibly coming back, Hess has struggled for most of the season to say the least and Watson’s bat has been sketchy at times this year. Wonder how many guys they can get to return and how it would affect the recruiting class. A lot of transfers would be needed

You are definitely losing Bain, Coomes, Beau, if Bryce gets drafted he might leave. Reese, and Taylor Peterson and probably Moffit won't be here. Reid might transfer

Cam Sanders might leave no matter where he gets drafted

Right now we have 50 players with eligibility for next season to fill 35 spots. The draft will clear up a lot of that.

Did they ever release which recruits are playing in summer leagues?

Is that what the number usually runs at or is that a little high? The impending loss of Hess, Watson, and Duplantis gets you to 47. I guess losing 3-4 commits to the draft is a fair number as well. That leaves you at 43-44, so 8-9 spots left.

The remainder of those spots would have to be transfers and high school decommitments? That 8-9 seems high but I'm not nearly as knowledgeable as you guys.

If we lose 4 recruits to the draft that would be crippling. Unless it’s some jucos
