That's some solid numbers there

He will definitely play the 3 and 4, but he doesn’t have the skill set to be a legit 5. I don’t think he’s known for rebounding or protecting the rim

He's 6'9 230, in college he can be more than serviceable 5...but again as others have said, college basketball is becoming more and more position-less.

How many teams have "true" centers and even play them much? Most guys who are 6'10-7 foot and big aren't any good.

Don’t forget about Courtese Cooper.

Skill set dude. The whole positionless basketball thing is misunderstood. You won’t have succes if you don’t have guys who can play roles. You can’t just throw out 3 talented guys who are 6’7 plus and think you will have a good defense and offense. Someone will need to be able to rebound at a high level, someone will need to protect the rim and someone will need to be able to create offense. Maybe Williams or Walker can play the 5 when he’s in the game, but you aren’t rolling him out there as a center. Not if he’s more of a perementer guy than anything.

True, I did forget he will be fresh off his redshirt. I still think we want 3 bigs this class. We only have 4 playing this year (right now).

You're thinking way too position specific. We've got guys who can rebound just fine (better than that even) returning (Williams/Days), he doesnt have to be a great rebounder, but he's definitely versatile.

Also, I know they really want Khadim Sy out of Daytona State and there's your true big man at 6'10, 245.

On no planet are we turning away Watford if he wants in, that's the main point. He's way way way too talented. We're in no position to turn down a talent like his. Also, I think you're really overblowing his rebounding, the dude averaged like 12+ boards a game last season in high school. I'd say it's not really a weakness.

I see that, but my question is, if Walker and Quinnones is in, then do you use that last spot for Watford, or get a need with Sy or Dante. I certainly think Dante has a spot if he reclassifies. That’s not a question.

Speaking of Quinnones, has anyone heard of how his visit went?

I say we will have 5 spots to fill, but we all know how things change quickly towards the end of recruiting. We ended up with EIGHT in this last class when most were expecting 5-6 early on.

Watford and Dante will be late decisions (Spring), and Dante could still be 2020. Walker seems like he could jump on board early and Quinnones.

If we run into the situation where we only have 5 spots and have 4 early signees and Dante CAN reclassify I see us taking him, but at that point I bet we have more than 1 spot to fill too and could take both Watford and Dante.

I think Sy will be a spring decision too. In the end I bet we end up with only 1 of those 3 though in the 2019 class. Outside chance for 2. Luckily Watford/Dante/Sy will be later decisions so we can let things play out. I dont think there's any realistic scenario we could get all 3, meaning all 3 wanting in (this class). HOWEVER, if all 3 wanted in, no doubt in my mind Wade would find a way to make it happen probably. We've seen him in how he manages a roster.

If all these good players want in, one of Taylor, Kingsby or Cooper will transfer. They’ll see they’re not gonna play & go somewhere they’ll get more PT. There’s also a good chance Tremont could go pro.

Taylor could very well be the starting 3 when he’s healthy

Cooper is the only guy on that list that would possibly transfer and I doubt that. This is Wade’s roster, he isn’t processing guys he recruited after one season

Look for Walker to commit to LSU (I guarantee).

Would love for CJ Walker to commit, he is a hell of an athlete and player. Im not looking or want Watford over Walker or anything like that btw . My guy tells me he just thinks Miami behind the scenes pulls it out.

Also for guys thinking anyone from the JUCO ranks would be let go, will not and cannot with Heair on staff. Our JUCO fillers which are key is all about those relationships. Would rather have Watford/Walker as opposed to Sy and any other combo.

After last night, anyone who thinks Taylor would be processed needs to reevaluate.

Taylor is a stud.

I hate to come off negative right now, seeing as everything is looking up for LSU basketball on all fronts. That being said, don’t be surprised if Kingsby is the odd man out when the dust clears.

I just heard his injury is worse than they thought and he might be headed for a redshirt.

Maybe similar to Combs last year.

There was a rumor this summer that an ambulance was called to practice for a player. I’m curious if that player was Kingsby and its not an injury but a condition keeping him out

C N'Faly Dante is top target right now but he might reclassify to 2019, wont know till a few months into next year. He's Top 10 overall for 2020 class right now. We have majority of crystal balls for him.

PG LJ Cryer from TX is Top 75 overall and he came in for a visit a few weekends ago officially. We have 4 crystal balls for him and nobody else has any.

SF Micah Peavy also from TX officially visited as well a few weekends ago and we have 2/2 crystall balls in for us. Top 75 overall player.

2020 recruiting hasn't picked up much yet as they are really focused on 2019 kids for most part as early signing day approaches, Wade said he wants to get 4 guys signed on next week, they are pushing Quinones and Walker for next 2 spots to sign this month.
