Eric Hampford just cb Emmitt Williams to LSU also.
Don't know who he is and don't know if he is piggy backing off of Andrew Slater but that is 2 cb's today.

Man...just read the latest update and this dude's still in jail. I have no idea what those yahoos are thinking, but it seems pretty distasteful to be putting in CB picks for a dude who is sitting in jail on a freaking rape charge.

I think at this point they're just piggybacking off of Slater. I would like to hear his reasoning at least because I feel the other three are going off of him.
I don't see Emmitt playing a minute of college basketball. It's one thing to have plausible deniability, it's another to admit you committed the crime to her best friend

It's probably just a "if the charges are dropped I'll be ahead of the curve" pick. If the charges are upheld nobody will have to be worried about being wrong because he won't be playing any college basketball for a long time if at all. It's not like Wade is actively recruiting him from the jail cell

With Archie and Leblanc off the table, who else are we targeting? Also, do we have room to sign 5? I thought the magic number was 4? Assuming we plan to cut one?

We have 4 players leaving for sure:

Epps
Reath
So we can definitely get 4, but he has mentioned getting 5 guys in the class, presumably someone would transfer currently on the team if that's the case.
New target names haven't surfaced up much yet. I think the goal is to get those 3 to sign this week and then move on with recruiting to chapter 2. Wouldnt surprise me if they sign a wing or guard freshman then save scholarship #5 if they need it for a grad transfer or maybe JUCO.
PF Emmitt Williams has always been a top target, but obviously with the legal stuff going on he's on everyone's backburner right now. They offered 4-star SG Antwann Jones back in September. I dont know of any 2018 offers since then. He's offered a few 2019 guys.

I think Jones was offered September of 2016. I don't know if Wade has contacted him but I'd imagine he has seeing that he is/was a HS teammate of Emmitt. I hope that Jones is added because he's very talented and smart with the ball

Really interested to see where this class ends up. With us having a young team next year I wonder if he holds on to a scholly and uses it for a grad transfer or just a regular transfer in general.
