Miles had had a couple of classes like this. They were very good classes as well.

2009 comes to mind off the top of my head.

I realize that. Just saying that the last time we had a class like this...it ended up being a great class. It was the backbone of the 2011 team.

I'm just talking recruiting on the Recruiting Board. Nothing more man.

51% of the 07 team were from oos. Don't let these guys get you down. LSU had improved it's recruiting prowess over the past 2 decades. Didn't happen over night.

It takes a lot more than that to piss me off. It's all good.

Having a national pull is a sign of an elite program. Bama, tOSU and others can go grab top players from other states. We have to be able to go out of state for OL especially OTs and QBs bc LA doesn't produce many. Being able to get a top player from another state means our in state kids can't keep us on the hook waiting for them to decide and potentially seeing them go elsewhere days before signing day.

The mid west and rust belt produces good OL prospects. Cali has QBs and some of the big polynesian kids. If we can make inroads in these regions we can ensure we fill positions of need on a regular basis. If these kids come here and have success our brand grows and recruiting becomes even easier and more successful. It's a process.

It is like LSU is Notre Dame of the south. Getting kids from Catholic schools all over the country.

Ok? LSU has recruited nationally for more than a decade.

Like this? Idk man, maybe so but it definitely seems like this class especially has a much larger national footprint than a typical LSU class.

Why ask the question if you don't want the answer? The only other time we've had recruits from this many states is 2013 and that was prior to the 25 player cap. That was 28 players from 11 states. We currently have 21 from 11 states (DC included).

The narrative of LSU becoming a national brand and pulling nationally was started in the press and recruiting sites like 247. I'm sorry it bothers you.

No, we should want it to keep doing it. It is great entertainment. Personally, I enjoy laughing at other's misfortune especially when they are so stupid and effed up they deserve it.
