Since I don't live in the state any longer, what does next year look like football wise. Is Louisiana stacked or is this going to be an average year? FYI, if I read Rodney Sopsher anywhere, I'm going to jump off my coffee table! Just giving the heads up!

Then don’t read your own thread. That would be quite a jump.

I feel like the state doesn’t have 1 huge 5 star name this year, but quite a bit of talent again. A lot of 4 stars it seems. We will probably hit Texas pretty big this year as well. Our 2020 class is shaping up to be a huge haul.

I think we take 4, some people are saying 5, but we have to take a good amount of d-linemen. Hope we hang on to Turner, and Boutte for sure. Abrams Draine could possibly decommit. If he stays on the 4th would probably be Koy Moore, Jermaine Burton, or Jakhi Douglas.

It’s a really solid year for d linemen and it comes at a perfect time. We’ll probably go out of state more than usual next year. I could see our class being only 8-9 in state kids.

Stating there isn’t 1 huge standout like Derek Stingley, or John Emery, but still a lot of talented guys.

To your point if u do a top 10 of La for the this year and the past 2 u get.
1. Stingley 2019
2.Marshall 2018
3.Emery 2019
4.Joseph 2018
5. Sospher 2019
6. Rogers 2018
7.Boutte 2020
8.Chase 2018
9. Thomas 2019
10. Harris 2019
That’s 1 guy in top 10 granted it’s still before camps and senior tape but so far it seems to be more quantity over quality this year.
( ETA: if u keep going u get another ‘20 recruit at # 12-15 so guys can definitely still jump up there by the end)

We have 16 4stars in state. That’s just incredible for a state our size or any size. Also we have more 4 star WRS than we could take. Good problems to have:

LSU is going to get him but it won’t be Ed O. It’ll be Will Wade

That's strange to see a 5-10 WR as the top player in the state. Boutte must have serious skills and speed. From the looks of the rankings, it looks like LSU should rack up again in-state, which is paramount. Thanks for info!

We definitely need some stud DL for sure. I feel like that's one area we've been lacking for a couple of years. Time to stack the roster with a few young monsters, so they will be ready when their time comes!

I wouldn't be surprised if Jacobian Guillory gets a 5th star before it's all said and done. But it is a down year in Louisiana. I think LSU passes on some in-state 4 stars for better players from out of state. Which they don't do often but it does happen.
