When Johnson, who runs the 40 yard dash in 4.42 seconds, was offered by LSU, he told Rivals “I’m from Louisiana. I was born there so I used to camp there a lot, so the offer meant a lot to me.”

Yes! He did not mention his dream school

Dunno if you've heard, but Herman Johnson was the largest baby ever born in LA.

But what about Camar Wheaton?

Take both of them.

Emery and Davis-Price will be sophomores in 2020 and Curry will be a redshirt sophomores. Meaning after 2021, all three of them could possibly be gone.

if we're being honest, LJ Johnson is better than Camar Wheaton. If you watch the tape and look at the production especially against their relative competition, I really don't see how Camar Wheaton was ever ranked ahead of LJ.

Wheaton's HS Lakeview Centennial is a BAD program man.

In like their like 40 years of existence they only have 7 playoff appearances and you basically just have to win 1-2 district games to make the postseason in Texas.

I wouldn't read too much into his high school tape, especially if you're comparing it to the teams Cy Fair rolls out there.

Wow the difference between his sophomore film and his junior film is dramatic. Can't wait to see his senior film. Tremendous maturation in that 1 year and runs like a man compared to a boy. Very impressive and hope to see continued maturity. Don't know the level of competition but again wow that junior film looks very impressive.

His pad level is elite and he’s a heavy runner. The first back that popped into my head watching his tape is Zeke Elliot.

Deculus went to Cy Fair. They seem to produce there.

Russell Shepard came from that area also (CY Ridge)
Josh White (Cy Creek)

Same school district

Is this the elusive double negative "like"?

I don't think A&M's new running back coach can compete with LSU's new running back coach. I think LSU's new running back coach has far more credibility and many more Super Bowl rings than A&M's new running back coach.

In fact, LJ Johnson said he had hardly ever talked to A&M's new running back coach when he was still at LSU.

I don't think Tommie was a bad coach or recruiter. He's had a track record of success. I do think that Faulk will be a dynamic coach and recruiter though. When Belicheck who rarely offers praise, talks so glowingly about you, you have to be good.

I think wheaton is slightly more adept at catching the ball out of the backfield while taht is still new to LJJ.
