At LO, you have a wide cross section of parental attitudes toward school, sports, etc. Not everyone values the education and the experience and if something happens to their kid, the first assumption is to blame the coaches and the school. My first assumption would be that my kid screwed up. I know there are bad situations in the class, etc. sometimes, but overall, LO is better than most places. I have teachers in the family, I have coached, etc. It is hard to be a teacher/coach. Their reward will be in heaven.

LO did give up a few big plays, but only 200 yds on the ground to Zac. LO finished with more total yds than Zac, 367-340.

ok went to the game last night painted up and had my air horn and our guys played hard but WAY to many turnovers. Zach got a major blow call at the end. NOt just cause it was my bestfriend but because it was just dumb. He had the ball in his hand and got hit they called it a fumble. He did not even take a step yet. With that said live oak was up 12 late in the 3rd and blew it. THats why we are 5-5 every year. After that blown call we turned it over 2 times with the lead and one time when we were down.

I sure do miss playing for LO. I actually didn't mind our offense being so bad except for senior year. I say this because it kept me on the field constantly.
It really sucks Schmitt left, he either liked you or didn't. He was a great coach to me. I asked him in the summer on the way to the 1st 7 on 7 match if he liked the BC goaline scheme of the linebacker as the runningback just joking with him and last game of the year he had me playing RB. It truly amazed me because I had forgotten all about asking him that until the banquet.
I am so glad that LO is finally heading in the right direction. The four teams I played on had playoff talent even without the current weight lifting systems and offense. It's great to see the last two coaches stepping up and bringing new life into the program.

It was a very good back and forth game last night. My mom told me Bebee had the boys pumped up in their pregame meal and it really showed out there. Again, there are major issues with carrying the football and not fumbling, but I've already said this many times. This really needs to be adressed this week in practice b/c it kills any momentum they have in the game. The tackling was a little better, but they still need to learn to wrap up. The o-line is without a doubt the best unit on this team in my opinion.
Now, what I do not understand is the call at the end of the game by the coaches. Live Oak is on or around the 15 yard line (I can't remeber exactly where) and it's 3rd and 6 with right around 5 minutes left in the 4th. They've got the lead and have had success running the ball on this drive. They decide to pass the ball and should have ran it, and that pass was intercepted and started the comeback for Zachary. Had they just stuck with the run like they had for most of that drive, I have no doubt in my mind that they would've won.
They played a hard fought game and I hope this lose doesn't bring their spirits for the rest of the year. I heard a lot of them were crying after the game, and they really shouldn't have been. It's just a game, they've 3 more very winnable games and if they take care of business they should make the playoffs. If they suck it up and continue to work hard, they should finish out strong.

Are these threads like a weekly requirement on this board?

I agree, but it was a completed pass and the Zac kid put a helmet on the ball and our receiver fumbled. this happened twice in a row on two drives deep in the Zac end on the LO side of the field. Then another fumble on a completed pass on the Zac side with the score 25-24 still. They hit harder than we had seen before and knocked the ball out 6 times and we lost all 6. Of course Zachary lost 4 fumbles and threw 2 pics. We had them 24-12, but kept turning it over.

you're a good man for going. LO has a ton of JR and So playing and was up 24-12, but couldn't close it. Zac hit harder than LO had seen and kept knocking the ball loose. The play you're talking about I thought should have been ruled incomplete instead of a fumble after the catch. Lo was close, ZAC was on its heeled and LO would have scored. Hope to win the next 3 and be 6-3.

LO caught three balls that were then knocked loose with ZAC recovering. All in the 4th qtr.

With the big backs against Glen Oaks in that last game your last year, LO scored two TD's

Livingston25,
My brother told me that Bebee blamed himself for the fumbles. Bebee said that they hadn't done any ball security drills since practice started this fall but they would do some soon. I would say I surprised to hear this, but seeing the problems they've had carrying the ball it makes sense.
