Lessons learned

With the transfer portal, don’t talk crap about recruits if they don’t choose us. You never know when they may come back

This board never learns. You got posters talking shite about recruits when they commit to us out the portal
It’s also why I’m not disturbed by our players that transfer out due to what message boards say about them.
If a player cannot understand that there are alter foxes in this TDing hen house, then they aren’t ready for any school in the social media age.
You need emotional fortitude just as much as physical resilience.

This will never change. Too many immature posters and alters of other fan bases on this site.
Recruits and families need to ignore message boards all together.

When has this ever happened?

Has anyone ever transferred because someone wasn't nice to them on a fan board?

Dude, I'm a professional bridge burner.
But seriously- you're right.
If I were asked I would say we need to police each other (via the RA button) on the Recruiting Board better.
There's a line on this board that doesn't exist elsewhere. That line exists at an infinitesimally small gap on the other side of criticism/analysis of ability and well ahead of criticism of decisions. Just keeping such of this board would go a long way.
[And yes, I freely admit I'm as guilty as many others]

We can’t stop talking shite about players who are already at LSU. You think anyone’s actually going to go soft on kids that go elsewhere?
I think in general the board should chill out a bit with the way we talk about players. Saying a kid hasn’t played well or missed an assignment is one thing. But calling a player useless, or a piece of shite, or saying he should just transfer is over the top IMO.
As for recruits, if they burn us they’re fair game as far as I’m concerned. Jermaine Burton left us at the altar. Deciding not to go to LSU is one thing. Decommitting on ESD and immediately signing with UGA is just playing dirty and intentionally fricking us over.

I heard from a credible source (I know...) that Max Johnson transferred because of all of the negative feedback he was getting online. I'd guess it was more from Twitter, Instagram, etc., but who knows.

I would guess it is more likely that he transferred because he was not guaranteed to start next season and he and dad got mad.

The irony of expecting 18-22 year olds to show more maturity than the 35-60 year olds shitting on them on a message board.
