Landon Collins tonight - OMG

Tonight I went to see my Zachary High team play Dutchtown and Landon Collins. He scored the first 5 times he touched the ball on offense but the first two were called back on penalties. He did not stop there. He only played part time on offense. It almost seemed that when the other players got forced into 3rd down and long they sent him in to run the sweep for a TD.
On defense he was highly respected by ZHS who runs the spread and throws the ball twice as many times as runs. LC closed on one of our HB's on a screen as fast as the ball was thrown and cut him down for no yards after catch. He also tomahawked a pass out of one of our WR's hands on a 4th down play while coming over the back without any interference.
In summary I saw a LSU recruit play ZHS a couple of weeks ago and did not even know he was on the field. Tonight any lame brain would have looked out on that field and wondered who the hell that flash was. LC was in a different league from all the other players on both sides of the ball

Good to hear a good review of Landon Collins. I saw on twitter that he scored on 4 of 4 times he touched the ball, and 2 were called back. Stud anyhow. Who was the guy from a couple weeks ago?

Dutchtown was leading 43-22 with about 3:30 left to play when I left. Theonly thing in doubt was the margin of victory. ZHS held with them for 2 qtrs. It was 29-22 at half with ZHS getting the 3rd qtr kickoff. A score then could have made it interesting.

Trey Granier of Thibideaux.

I think he actually scored 4 times and 2 additional were called back...

Granier isn't a guy that will jump out at you, but you see at the end of the game he had 12 tackles and your like what the hell

I guess the main point was that LC played tonight like the obvious 5star he is and everybody else on the field looked like... well, high school players.

ZHS replays home games (school broadcasting group) on cox channel 17 (WLFT) on Sundays at 1PM. This was an away game. Not sure if this one will be played or not. There were several video cameras in action. Somebody is bound to play it.

I see no mention of Larry Cage. How did he look tonight?

I remember watching a few Michael Ford games in high school and thinking the same thing. I believe it was a game against Zachary in the quarters or semis of the playoffs and he ended up with like 300 yards rushing and I was like "when the hell did he run for 300 yards?"

What is he waiting for to commit to LSU?
I'm a Mississippi State fan and know it's very obvious that LSU has a great secondary and puts tons of players in the NFL and compete for a national championship.
Who other than Bama is he considering?

It's a straight LSU vs Bama battle for Landon.

I have EATEL but the game is on right now, cox is probably playing it too.
I think Zachary tackled him one time all night. It was unbelievable to watch. He is definitely a man among boys, but most knew that already.

If I read the paper correctly this morning he had 7 carries for 179 yds and 4 TD's. He had two runs for TD's called back and they were probably worth at least 120 more yds. That is like 9 carries for 300 yds and six TDs...

Yes and I was at that game too. He scored 4 or 5 TD's that night. Let the record show that despite his heroic performance ZHS won the game.
