I feel good about Stingley being back but how do you guys feel about the DB depth? We are one injury away from the Miss. State game again.

I see we offered him. I guess he’s not happy at all with how Herman is running things. He was a high 4 star recruit.

Is he not getting on the field at Texas?

Don’t think he’d help out at LSU. Wiggins is incoming and give a little more depth.

Also, Ryan playing a nickel/safety role here. It sucks that Malachi Moore looks awesome as a true freshman for Bama, but that’s the spot Ryan plays and Bama has another highly touted guy behind Moore.

I’m pretty sure he’s pissed about lack of playing time as well. Their fans seem to be taking this one like we were about Brooks. But I see your point. With a huge incoming DB class it may be pointless for us to take him because it would be the same predicament. I hope Ward gets healthy and Evans can get up to speed with the big boys.

I say you take him, unless we get Mckinstry to commit.

We need CBs in a bad way

He is very good. Top 3 talent. Take all day. Good kid too. Extremely frustrated with Herman. Should be playing a ton.

he's without a doubt good enough to play here. would be playing this year at UT but it seems like Herman is pulling a les miles and starting the veterans

looks solid for some depth. He's probably tired of TH's bs and the losing

How do y'all know this? Isn't it possible that he gets the coverages wrong or screws off in practice? You would think the Texas coaches, whose jobs depend on being successful and who see the kids in practice every day, would make a better decision than LSU rant fans.

We currently have 1 CB and 1 Safety in incoming class if we hang onto them. GqMc is the only target that I see us beating door down for and he is an outside chance right now.
You need 8-10 dbs onthe roster. We currently have 6-8 depending on who you count as serviceable

You can usually tell from a fanbase reaction how well the they think a kid is when they enter the portal. Almost nobody on Texas' side thinks this is no real loss. There were a lot of positive reports about him prior to the season, apparently. Just hasnt got on the field, despite Texas obviously struggling a bit. Like someone else said, when Marcel Brooks entered portal on here the general sentiment was "what, why?" not "meh he was never going to play much".

I wouldn't trust Herman at all. He had a player quit on him mid-game in a blowout for Texas and let him back on the team immediately. They have major culture problems right now.

Why’s he not playing? That’s not a gotcha. I honestly don’t know.

Being fast and tall is all good, but can the motherfricker play football? That's my question. If it were all about being tall and fast then every track athlete would be a good football player and usain bolt would be one of the best players in the nfl.

What do you mean by how we were about Brooks. That might of been the biggest loss for us IMO (outside Chase)

He's not playing at TCU is his point. He was this huge loss to us yet can't play at TCU.
Some Texas people don't like this loss. Some are nonchalant about it. From our perspective, he has no film so it would be based purely on hs evaluation and him taking an official visit once he's eligible to gauge what the staff thinks. Darren Evans had plenty of film(better comp than hs at least) and we couldn't tell he wasn't good enough to play here. It's a crapshoot.

He was a true freshman last year and showed some flashes towards the end of the year. Didn’t look like your typical UT DB. Go watch the UT vs Tech game from last year, as a true freshman he gave techs best receiver Vasher Hell

UT fans are baffled why he hasn’t seen the field yet
