We have tons of incredible talent returning with Chase & Marshall along with Palmer & Lee, plus we signed an all-world tight end. I'm not understanding all the angst over losing this guy unless he's just that good.

Boutte will be as dynamic as any WR in this class.

He's a lot better than Koy likely. Not Boutte. Boutte is on their tier I think.

Rakim is just insanely polished and does everything well. He really looks like Ja'Marr Chase.

Boutte has game buster speed though.

No. Boutte will most likely be ranked higher than Burton and Jarret in the final rankings. Had a much better senior season.

Think we're just more angry that he was committed for so long and then flipped.. to Maryland of all places.

Heard on the radio that Jarrett is the real deal and is Biletnikoff-level good, and that Burton was the most "ready to play" of those two.

That said, Boutte will supposedly finish higher than both Jarrett and Burton in the final rankings. Mike D. said that Koy Moore has some Ja'Marr Chase in him and is also a burner.

We'll be fine. Especially because Gilbert is basically a receiver as well.

I walk up and give you $500. Great, right?

You: "Someone told me you were giving me $750! I'm a bit disappointed."

Kinda like that.

Yes, I'd love to have Jarret. No, it is not a big deal that he is not at LSU.

Boutte reminds me of Waddle from Bama, he could have that type of impact.
Really looking forward to Palmer emerging if Jefferson goes pro.
Mike D compared Koy Moore to Chase on Moscona's show yesterday which I thought was interesting. I don't think Moore is quite as big but once in LSU program he should add some weight and strength. Always good to keep that Rummel pipeline going strong.

Boutte has A Jalyn Waddle skill set. He can do it all.

He’s got a gear that we don’t have in this offense yet. Maybe Trey Palmer can run with him but that’s about it.

If jarret is lot better than those two guys, then those two guys probably would have made Jarret look bad at LSU. Jarret would be home sick and would not be able to get his head straight. But I'm sure these two guys will have better stats than jarret. Look at who Jarret commit to.

It doesn’t matter. Jarrett going to Maryland basically is the same as if he never existed. We don’t gain from it and it’ll never hurt us.

Add them to the last year Louisiana WRs and next year. We are good. Just need QBs to be good.

According to an interview with Shea, Boutte is expected to be ranked higher than the other three in the final 247.

Koy is anything but a burner. Routes, hands, but not a burner

doesn't matter much as far as the 2020 season goes but would have been good to get Jarret and Burtan for the 2021 season. Looks like we are going to be a little thin with receivers for the 2021 season and will be relying on some true freshman (Hilton perhaps) to step up to give us some depth that season

2021 would be Palmer, Lee and Jenkins, plus the guys we just signed in this class (Boutte, Moore, Gilbert, and Taylor), plus whoever we sign in the 2021 class.

They will both contribute more than Jarret would have imo because he is the prototypical diva WR

Look, the ship will roll on. It’s not that big of a deal to miss on a few kids each year. Between Boutte and Gilbert, we just added a ton of production in one class. Yeah, nice to have depth and we are spreading the ball more than ever, but our production is still concentrated in a few players.

People are upset for several reason. By all accounts we cleared room to sign a full class and likely won’t now. Part of that was confidence in those committed. Jarret told a stupid story that should not have been believed, so you have to put some of that on both the coaches and the kid.

But most importantly, people are upset about recruiting rankings. Happens every year. We don’t need the kid, but makes are ranking look that much better because he’s a five star.

..agree...Jarrett saw the writing on the wall...he didnt want to compete at LSU or even Alabama..he took the easier route @ Maryland with less competition..he copped out but shouldn't have used the excuse of "not much trust" in the LSU staff..shows his immaturity to the fullest..
