The Nuss bus, this kid is going to lead this program back to the top.

I would think the offensive skilled players took notice who was getting snaps after the first two games. I am really only worried about the offensive line at this point.

If Linehan’s gone like I expect him to be, I’m not sure that we even hang on to Nuss.

If you think Finley is s championship level SEC QB then you are friggin’ blind. Finley is another Brandon Harris.

Finley has already far exceeded Brandon Harris level.

LOLOLOLOL. What? Do you know how much space there is between an SEC championship caliber QB and Brandon Harris? He’s fricking light years better than Harris. May not be champ caliber but to call him Brandon Harris is completely retarded.

I'm really not sure why you guys think Linehan is going anywhere.

Sarcasm?
I really fail to see similarities between Finley and Harris, other than maybe a problem putting touch on some throws.

You took that in the exact opposite way I meant. Moore, Boutte, and Gilbert are all seeing significant snaps and Nussmeir could come in and compete day 1 pending bad news on Brennan. The offensive prospects aren't going to be scared away unless they think we can't fill holes at O line.

NUSS is the future QB of this program

Linehan has next to nothing to do with Nuss committing to LSU.

I think he is probably the most exciting HS QB prospect LSU has had in a LONG time.
Brennan was relatively highly rated, but we all knew he was a project in terms of getting him much bigger.
Finley has the size and arm strength you want (and hasn't played horribly, just inconsistently this season). But there is a lot of polishing that needs to take place both mechanically and from a football understanding point of few.
Johnson has good size and I hope he gets a chance to take meaningful snaps tomorrow so the evaluation can begin. Still, I see him as a slightly better Danny Etling. That's not horrible. You can win with an Etling type. It's just that he may never be a transcendent player.
Nuss comes with a pedigree and I like his confident, gunslinger mentality. Yes, a QB has to have the physical attributes. And yes, they have to be a great decision maker. But they also have to be extremely confident, bordering on arrogant to be great. You saw it last year with Burrow. No matter who was the opponent he thought he was better. The greats in the NFL don't shy away from the spotlight. They seek it out.
I see a lot of Baker Mayfield in Nuss. A guy out there slinging it and playing with big time bravado.

Tbh ,I think harris would look better in this offense ,in his 4th start at home against bama.
This offense fits Brandon better . Not a whole lot of checking at the line, some rpos ,some zone read. A lot of four verts . That's him . Dont let him think, read one guy on the rpo ,if he settles ,hand it off ,if he comin then throw the slant behind him..
Harris does seem like the type to frick up an rpo read and put the ball in between the 4 and the 5 on the backers jersey number lol.
I'm saying he may run this offense better then Finley because of his athleticism which was underrated. He would shred you with that dig route like Finley throws well too

It would sure help a lot if there were a lot more quality OL committed to block for him.
Posted on 12/11/20 at 4:07 pm to 610man
Who is going to block for him.?

Pretty sure one of the reasons we have Linehan is because we were going after Nuss. His family and Linehan go way back. Pretty sure that factored into why he was hired. Also I think O stays, and so does Linehan. Ensminger will retire and we will "officially" have to fill the offensive coordinator spot. So Linehan will be here with someone else as the offensive coordinator. But Linehan will be the quarterbacks coach and in another word Nuss's direct coach.

TJ Finley is already a significantly better player than Harris ever was.
