With his lack of experience, you have to wonder how long it will take to get the technique down. The ceiling on this guy is really high. I would love for us to sign this guy. Boom or bust type.
I also found it interesting that Coach O, said OL, Corner and Safety are the spots they are looking at. As the ship sailed on LB Davis? I assuming WR Thomas would still be a take.

He's a long term option, not an immediate impact player. You need players you can develop too.

I think he’s preparing for IF Davis doesn’t sign. But I’m sure O will do everything he can to get him in this class. We just can’t count on it.

I don’t know how good of a ball player he is but at 6’5” 330 and built like that - he wins the “getting off the bus” award for sure

Physically this guy is a beast. I watched some of his highlights. The one thing that stood out was his hustle. The fan base will love this guy.

Davis is still committed so I’m counting him in until otherwise. His family is still extremely pro LSU on social media and they’re noticeably not fans of Clay Helton and the culture at USC at all right now.

On Davis. Recruiting is very fluent. I could see him getting excited if and when we get new defensive coaches. Every team needs a LB that can cover. We could certainly use this guy.

Yea Davis is a stud we need to keep him badly. His film is great. He can cover, he can blitz, he’s a sure tackler, he has a motor that runs hot. He’s the best off ball linebacker in the class and him and his family have known O forever and were his first ever offer. Hit a home run with this DC hire and lets close this class with a bang. Priority 1 needs to be keeping your 5 star talent at LB and adding a couple OL.

With both him and Moko being projects type guys, I’m not sure we take both. If you miss on Leigh, you take one and get one of the many portal guys who can play sooner.
