YOu never saw Ridley play live if you really think this. And it’s not a matter of opinion. He was a stud for us when we had little else offensively. You also don’t start in the nfl by being easy to tackle in college. So TOO ME your opinion is completely wrong.

Ridley was smooth but strong.

I'm sensing a whole lotta confidence in this thread. Good to hear.

I want him over Cain! I just think he is a better overall running back.
I think if we can get Emery and Davis- that's awesome. But like you, I prefer Emery over Cain, but only by the width of a hair. So if Emery is in, Davis committed... and Cain still comes that's some boom there.
quote:

Ridley went down as soon as you touched him
kinda crazy. Ridley was strong, not the strongest. But had great balance, even if he was stuck he never just went down. He did have a tendency to run to daylight as first instinct (as opposed to contact), which is not a bad thing at all; barring that he loved to bury himself in some OL back and then get some burst off that.
quote:

Every teen has a lot of growing up to do. STFU
He yelled and screamed/cursed out at a trainer because he didn’t want to practice one day.
See such attitudes just melt away the first day of scrimmage when that position coach who whispered sweet nothings in your ears for months all of a sudden is chewing your arse and won't give you a moments peace. For some it gets real real right then. For some they realize this is the big time and adjust their own outlook and attitude.

Don’t cool on anyone. You offer all three and take anyone who signs the paperwork. We need RBs badly.

Emery can catch so maybe more like LaBrandon Toefield comparison is better suited?

I knew Toefield from high school. Great athlete. Not as dynamic as emery. I think emery has another gear. Not knocking LT

Huge news if true. Best running back in the country.

Edit: I can say the same thing about Stingley. LSU bound.

Speigs seems to think it's down to us an GA.
quote:

Tentatively, Emery wants to put a bow on his recruitment in about a month’s time. A return visit to Georgia and a two-coach presence at the spring game is a likely sign that the Bulldogs are LSU’s biggest threat for the elite running back. More visits are expected, and that includes LSU before Emery finalizes his plans

That doesn't exactly make me optimistic except that GA signed Zamir White and James Cook last class so they have 2 elite new RBs on their roster. He will have a much tougher road to get playing time at GA.

Pushed back his decision timeline and also won the fastest man race at The Opening.

Emery 195-200 lbs is more like an Alvin Kamara type...though Kamara is a surprising 215 lbs, and Ty Davis 227 lbs is your LF7 type back.

Both are Top 5 backs in country IMO.

I have Cain behind those 2.

Can't always follow the girlfriend. And the whole thing about wanting to be a feature running back, he should learn from Fournette and Guice... share the Reps show off your talent save your legs cuz you only have so many carries in them

We never stopped pushing. Persistence is just paying off. The fact that he pushed back the decision date means he's obviously listening to what we're selling.

He has to see being in the same class with our O-Line studs, and with a bruiser back like Davis is in Emery’s best interest.

He “Emory” was clocked at 4.4, while Davis was clocked right at 4.5.........You add these to kids to go along with CEH,Curry, and Provens......That’s a freaking rushing attack!

His recent comments indicate he sees the value of splitting reps and saving his legs for the next level. Someone finally talked some sense into him

I’m not sure how he doesn’t realize the importance of conserving himself in order to have a long career. They’re selling him on being the next Barkley, but they are not built anything alike. It would be a huge mistake for him to go anywhere and be run into the ground and have a short pro career.
