I hope we can land this guy and we should have another big class with Kingsby and Edwards transferring

I think there was a thread on this yesterday that was very poorly timed

I believe the thread from yesterday was regarding a CB from Billy Embody. This is my first time hearing of a CB from Jerry Meyer. Either way this is all good news for LSU. Assuming LSU loses Naz, KBG, and possibly Tremont next year there will need to be a replenishing of game ready talent. Watford will add much needed frontcourt depth.

Watford and Dante would make up for Naz and Bigby Williams. Assuming Dante reclassify’s and both him and Watford pick LSU. Lester will be a really good player too. Looks good with him right now.

Would love to get Sy, he would be great to replace KBW

Watford is very much needed, but he can't replace Reid or William's height.
Unless he has grown he was measured at like 6-7 1/4 I think this past summer at one of the events.
Still...really need him on board.

Watford is only an inch maybe inch and a half shorter than Reid. HE would be the perfect replacement for Reid too. Sy would be a great replacement for KBW as well.

This says Watford was 6'8 without shoes in 2017 at the Nike Elite 100. Wingspan of 7'3.5"....for some reference, in 2017 Reid measured up at 6'10 IN shoes with a 7'1 wingspan

I’ll be really impressed with WW if he can land Watford over Memphis. Not to mention I see Watford as being a 2 year 5 star, not a one and done.

I was hoping this guy was a Left Tackle

Bishop is that guy mostly right now, he's a scoring PG. But yeah, Waters is a generational PG talent. Dont expect to see someone again just like him any time soon.

Check the crystal ball on 247 he put it in yesterday I think but it’s a CB from Jerry Meyer

I think this is his last year in a Tiger uniform.
Hope I'm wrong.
Thanks for the info on Watford's wingspan. That always helps. I'm almost positive I saw his height listed at 6-7 1/4 though from a summer '18 event. Which wouldn't make sense with your 6-8 documentation from summer '17.
Really splitting hairs anyway. Pretty insignificant.

Waters not going anywhere
Ultimately, he may not be drafted. But if there is a slight chance he will be picked, he's out. The one glaring "negative" of his draft stock (size) is something that can't be improved by returning to LSU. It will be an issue after this year or after two more years. It's just a question of if any NBA team is willing to take a chance he can potentially succeed at that height.
IMO, the ONLY way he comes back is if he goes through the combine and goes completely undrafted. Otherwise, enjoy him this year. You may not see a better all around PG for a while
