Last 2 games

Uga lost Lecounte to a motorcycle accident. He's looked like a true freshman for sure getting beat

1. Sir you missed the pun
2. We need DB Depth
3. Ended up with 2 open spots (one which was spent on a transfer DB. I’d like to think having a guy for 3-4 is normally better
4. May have actually played for LSU some this year.

You damn right, he definitely EARNED it. To hell with rankings , this kid has proved a work ethic to be admired. Jardin = BALLER , will be a great Tiger. He has an absolute great attitude + skills.

He’s a really good player. Why do you think he’s a project?

No, based on 247 guys, this offer has nothing to do with losing a current commitment at the safety position.

According to SD, The staff felt that Gilbert had earned scholarship offer based on his play and they wanted to be true to their word that they are going to pursue top rated in-state talent first.

I suppose it’s possible this could result in Gee not making the cut, but that is purely speculation on my part

I20goon, I haven’t heard or read anything about eligibility issues.

Here’s the tiny bit I have heard and what I think it may mean a little deeper under the surface: “O and staff want to be true to their word when it comes to recruiting the best players from LA. After evaluating Gilbert’s tape for his senior year, they felt he had EARNED a scholarship from LSU.”

My take on what may (or may not) be just below the surface of this offer:

(1) The offer to Gilbert may be as much about appearances and relationships with in-state recruits, in general. What I mean by that is it would make sense to me if, after evaluating Gilbert and comparing him to Gee, they determined that they were equivalent prospects so they owed an offer to Gilbert just as they previously offered Gee (bottom-Line is that I think they go with one or the other here bc I don’t think they take 5 safeties), and more importantly,

(2) Louisiana’s 2022 recruiting class is pretty dam loaded, and seeing as how last year resulted in a couple of really talented LA kids being “processed”, perhaps O and company are being more mindful of their treatment of in-state guys by being sure to give them the opportunity to stay-home when they are equally talented to out-of-state guys.

Admittedly, this last bit may be a stretch, but I could see them wanting to do anything possible to seemingly repair their image as it relates to in-state guys bc their are more than a few studs in LA’s 2022 class

Just got to figure out the best way to post it here. Should have it up a little later this morning so stay tuned.
