Is John Emery Jr. Still a possibility?

He commited to UGA a while back, has anyone heard a anything about him lately? Would beating UGA, potentially twice, change his mind on his commitment (i think it does) in y'all's opinion? He said he is supposed to be coming to the LA Tech @ LSU or UGA @ LSU home games. But that is all I have heard, that and CEO went to his school first thing at 6am in a helicopter... so he said that was kinda cool.
On a side note, Noah Cain (not rated nearly as high as he used to be) is looking like a 50-50 lean to LSU/Texas. He stated specifically that oline/qb play is most important to him, also education is a high priority as well. As we all know LSU's oline and qb positions are no longer a weak point of our team, just ask Auburn. That and Texas is hot garbage at all positions this year. So I feel Noah Cain is a lock for LSU.
I would be very happy with Tyrion Davis and Noah Cain to LSU, those are two very good backs, but John Emery is on a different level. Not only that, but the recruiting statement getting 5* Emery is incredibly powerful, we cannot keep losing our top recruits.
What do y'all think?

50/50
Lean.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

The possibilities are limitless until national signing day!

Georgia has deeper pockets. They’ve proven that the last few recruiting cycles. Emery is gone, time to move on.

I'm sorry, I misspoke, sorry for the confusion, I meant that he seems to be leaning strongly to these two schools. With a 50/50 split of recruiting analysts expecting one of these two schools. Also at the moment LSU is trending upwards significantly in recruiting predictions. I apologize that you didn't recognize my intended statement. That's my fault. I would apreciate if you would contribute to the conversation instead of critiquing what in my opinion was an obvious statement. Not to mention I only used the statement; "50/50 lean," once. But I digress.
Anyways, have a great day, GEAUX TIGERS!

Welcome to TD
Kids change their minds all the time so there's always a chance. If the OL keeps improving then it will give him something more to think about.

Uhm.....I think we're just not willing to go all Ole Miss like they are. I think our pockets are as deep as many. Desperation reeks.

I think if he took cash from Georgia, it's pretty much a done deal. But who knows? Been said the twitter account that posted him saying he got a bag of cash from Ga wasn't his account. So, who knows. Obviously there's some very good runningback recruits that want to be at LSU and if Emery doesn't, LSU won't be hurt. Would be nice to have another back his caliber, but LSU will still get some very good ones regardless.

He won't change his mind

Do you think Noah cain (if he comes to lsu) is close talent wise? I feel Emery is just much better, based on film, and very deserving of his ranking.

All of your questions are answered in the 7-page Emery thread right below this one.

Yes he is a South Louisiana young man!
We must temper our comments and FACE IT, he shows great loyalty to his UGA commitment.
We could ERR on the side of caution and prudence.
Que sera, sera!! What will be will be!!!

I agree with this.
Having said that, I haven't seen anything yet that makes me think he's wavering.
If I'm speculating, I don't think he ends up at Georgia. The numbers there just don't make sense. The guy is way too big of a prospect to got sit for 2 years with only spot duty. That would simply be crazy. I also don't think he'll end at LSU.

It happens quite often though. Teams stockpile at certain positions.

Why does it bother you so much that someone talks football on the LSU board?

I would love to see him as a Tiger but I do wish these guys would commit and stick with it. I couldn't fault him for being committed.
